The Rugby SA long lunch on Friday and B&IL game at Adelaide on Saturday
Game wasn't much but the spectacle was
Having Guiness on tap in the package was fantastic :drinkers:

Only yucky thing was playing Sweet Caroline when Luke Cowan-Dickie went down with a very bad injury

The world would be a better place if Sweet Caroline was permanently scratched. [-o<

Sweet Caroline is America's Horses and they're both absolute garbage.

That barman in the Jim Beam ad is nowhere near as happy as he's putting on.

My son isn’t very good at sport - he likes it, he tries (sometimes) but he’s the kid who is more interested in the friendships and the fun than anything.

He cops probably more criticism from me that he he should as an 8 year old, just get frustrated - especially as his coach.

Tonight he turned it on.. 2 goals 2, 7 marks, few clearances and a dozen kicks - was by far and away the best game he’s ever played in his life. Got lots of praise from other parents and his team mates too which has him feeling a million dollars.

Couldn’t be more proud - and he’s only just gone to bed coz he was too excited to recap every moment for mum, then sister when she got home from her game.

Can’t wipe the smile from my face.

That's awesome Bedge. We have to remember that despite all the bad times that we may encounter, and I know you've had some tough times recently, the kids play for the love of the game. And really, it's about them at the end of the day because they are the next gen of players coming through, whether they be A graders, or D graders, every club needs them.

Just on that, I always say to our subbie goal umpires, if in doubt, give the kid a goal. They'll cherish it!

Thats brilliant mate, and great to hear what what did a long week bring gold at the end of it for you. You deserve it. A piece of me thinks our kids can see when we are down and out and go that extra mile to lift our spirits.

My 7 year old daughter has been asked to play her first competitive netball game for BSR this weekend in what we call our sub junior 2's. I'm really keen for her to give it a crack unfortunately she isnt as keen........she has been doing net, so, go and whilst enjoys the throw and catch its clear she isnt going to be the bigger lover of trainings. However she keeps saying she is nervous and doesnt want to have to perform in front of a crowd. So just trying to coax her into it for a week even if it means sitting on the bench the entire game.

This is hard to confess but I'm one of the punters who love to sing along with Sweet Caroline Da Da Da

A previous GM used to love Neil Diamond and he used to call everyone "Bud", his nickname around the country was "The C***" because he would take over a site and knock a few numbers down from the office staff.

Anywho, we were at a work function and Sweet Caroline came on, instead of singing "Da Da Da" I got right in his grill and yelled "Bud Bud Bud". I was offered a redundancy a fortnight later.

Everyone can laugh but think of the money those songs made Neil Diamond and Daryl Braithwaite and continue to do so with royalties ;)

Braithwaite went from hating it when he was still an "artiste", to loving it as it's his retirement gravy train

My boy turning 29. He's a fine man, stands for what's good and right and has the moral compass pointing in the right direction. He's my best mate and I love him to bits.

Working from home, coffee and muffin, watching it rain out the windows from my desk.

Office to myself, coffee and some Ozzy playing in the back ground.

Sites will be shut so there won't be much by way of phone correspondence and I've got a steady work load for the day.

Then I've got this form guide thing to work through looking for some mudders.
