Maybe 2008 is the "Gowans' apology season" where all non Central fans get the opportunity to lean over the fence at their local ground and apologise for any abuse they may have fired in their direction over the years.

Despite the fact i thought James should have got a least 6 weeks for what he did in the GF, I still rate the boys and think it is good that they are still playing SANFL footy. However I unashamably wish they were in Black and Gold.

Brain fades aside they do help Centrals set the standard for attack on the footy and the body (most times it is done legally).

It is up to the rest of the clubs to match and better that if we want to emulate Centrals succss in the last 8 years.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

There wouldn't be too many SANFL resignings that make the regular news bulletins - says a lot about what these boys have brought to the league. Love 'em or hate 'em.

Knowing how people preen themselves before going on camera - the boys probably knew they were being interviewed that day and put on the fresh shirts out of the wrapper.

Yeah, it'll affect him.
He'll be hungry for the ball and extra refreshed.
Will be an asset as the season gets into its late stages. ;)

Is the inference that the Gowans' don't need to 'work' libellous? It's certainly funny...

I'd say it would have gotten carried over to whatever league he was to play in anyway (if he was to play somewhere in Victoria, which obviously he isn't now).

It's almost worth going to see a Dogs-Port game in 08, in the off chance that the Gowans boys and Choppy Pickett say g'day to each other.

I'm just that they are staying to play under THEIR terms and wishes, like if we can't be guaranteed this or that we are going home. Know that they have put in the hard yards and given the side alot over the years but to make such comments really besumes me. Oh well I suppose just a couple more juniors missing out

Two juniors dont miss out, they get guidance by two of the most gifted footballers that have played in this state. They just want to make sure that they are going to contribute to the success of the club.

No Locky, the juniors know what lies ahead in '09, when we lose The Twins & Sladey. They are treating 2008 like a Grand Final season because they know '09, they will have their turn to put their names alongside the departing champions names in the CDFC Premiership Winners book.
