Dando's long struggle with addiction has been well documented, and in recent years he has spoken publicly about finding sobriety. That made this show especially difficult to witness; not just a bad gig, but a deeply human relapse played out in front of a paying audience.
The warmth and vulnerability of his songwriting, which once endeared him to a generation, now felt like an echo bouncing off the walls of a hollow performance. While other states may have gotten vintage Lemonheads, Adelaide simply got a lemon.

Jebs 30th year anniversary tour mid October, I remember going to their 20th at Heaven, feels like only yesterday unfortunately Ill be in Darwin when they are here.
The Smith St Band this Thursday at the Gov, flight from Melbourne returns at 7.10pm and straight there, better not be any delays.
Googled the Melbourne gig guide for this Tues/Wed night while Im over there for work, and I see Phil Jamieson is playing, might have to pop my head in.

You should be fine to get to see Smith Street Dutch, I assume they'll be on quite late as doors open at 7.30 and there's two support acts in Bad Neighbour and Lola.
I was ment to be going to see them again but now I can't make it so if you know anyone that wants a ticket to the gig let me know.
TSSB great as always last night, opening with Death to the Lads got the place rocking right from the get go. Wil looks like he is in a great place these days and has renewed energy with the new album out late in the year (and they said they will be back to tour that). Played another unreleased song which sounded great. Only disappointment was no "Birthdays".
