30.31 in 83 games doesn't normally scream "bloody good forward". Has kicked 3 in a game once.
Have you seen him when he spends 10 minutes up forward?
Jumps at the ball as good as any current forward there is

We’ll keep him
That may be true but I'm sure as hell not paying him mega bucks to average a goal every 3 games. Or if the plan is to play Marshall up front, it bumps up to a massive goal every 2 games.

Like I said earlier, list management suicide...

Yep Paying anyone that much is just ridiculous

Really? I would take King over him any day (as a forward).
Are you drunk?

Plenty of room for 2 key forwards
Though I do wonder why the Saints would throw stupid amounts of coin considering they have Marshall who is a very good ruck
He will be 30 this year. Which surprises me but still, he would have a few more good years in him if his body holds up.

You'd have TDK as a key forward would you?

He's good enough to adapt to any role given. If it's forward then I'm sure his goal tally would improve pretty quick.
Both Kings are highly overrated.

Where to from here?

Voss stay or go? Not sure how I feel here.
Want stability but is Voss the answer?
Can’t keep both Curnow and McKay.
I’m keeping Curnow and playing McGovern forward instead of Harry.
TDK is he staying or taking the Saints huge offer?
Do we use Walsh in a trade?
Cripps has carried the load for far too long and it’s now showing.
We need another Key defender as Weitering can’t do it all and is now injured plus McGovern has spent time forward finally.
We need a good HBF and/or winger who can use the ball better.
Small forward wouldn’t hurt either.

Anyway I’m on the 36ers bandwagon!
Go 6ers!!

McKay? Is contracted to 2030, unless you're paying a whack of his salary for the next 5 years nobody is taking him off your hands.

McGovern? Who could have any faith in him standing up week after week.

Walsh? You get a 2nd rounder for him. If it's a fire sale you don't have the bargaining power to demand more.

As for Voss, who knows if he is the right man or not but I'd be pretty sure the heavy weights in the coterie group have his card stamped and he's gone.

So you need a key defender, or two if you play McGovern forward, a half back flanker or two, a wingman and a small forward?

Another decade of obscurity awaits.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Lets just ignore the fact he coached Brisbane before moving to Port for the purposes of this conversation*

I'm not convinced he's the answer. one good year in Brisbane out of five, and Carlton aren't improving under his reign. Nine years as a head coach for a 3 & 3 finals record kinda sums him up.

The game plan of bashing it long down the line to Curnow & McKay is super predictable, I can't see anything that Voss offers tactically that makes his team stronger.
