The game isn’t crap. It’s the AFL competition that’s crap

Rest of footy pretty fantastic IMO
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Why do people get so upset about crowd numbers not being as big as they think they should be? :?

Most people that do make a point of it obviously dont support the home Club and just want to take the opportunity to bag them.

Can understand people being surprised or a home supporter being disappointed a bigger crowd didn't turn up but what's with the anger?
Relax Max, I'm neither upset nor angry - just would have expected a few more through the gate!!

Port averaged a tick under 40k for home games in 2024

Averaging a tick over 40k so far this season.

70k ish members?

Just under 31k seems a little low based on those numbers

Sunday mid-arvo games I find the most difficult to get along to - kids footy commitments take up most my Sundays, and if the stars align so that we can go on a Sunday arvo, worst part is not getting home until late then having to get everything ready for school etc the next day.. not to mention getting kids fed, showered, bed etc.

Add to the fact that if your team is a shit as mine, you can't drink enough in order to be able to tolerate watching them.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Me personally, I love it, it's my preferred time slot but I know I'm not in the majority there.

I suppose about 35-37k. Coming off a good win, on a fine day with no wind, in a timeslot I thought Port usually drew decent numbers to.

This Saturday is the first game of AFL that our Youngest (9 years old) will be going to.

Going with her grandad, he's a Power member, who usually takes our other daughter who is a Power fan.

The 9 year old goes for Sydney... and can barely sit still for 10 minutes, so good luck Grandad...

How many different time slots can be put up as reasons for below average attendance. So far we have Sun and Sat afternoon locked away, any more? Asking for UK Fan.

There would be a few that wouldn't come over from Victoria if they have to work today
I wonder how many Melbourne supporters are in Adelaide (I have NFI)

Plus; remember it was 14th v 15th and looked like it.
Petty is not AFL standard
Fritsch plays like someone with long sleeves & bouffant hair. He would never have got a game 40 years ago when HBFs only ate raw meat. Tony Giles would have smiled if he walked up to stand him.
Viney with that 50 (I saw McHenry do the same thing in a PAOC game which resulted in a goal as well  WTF is wrong with these blokes?))
Rioli should study a rule book instead of being on social media

Good parts:
1. Liddy's first game
2. Watching JHF & Georgiadis

At half time he had :

20 touches ( 10 contested )
5 marks
5 clearances
2 tackles
1 goal 3

Should have had 3 goals at least.
