What's happened to Eastern Park......4 on trot lost now.

Injuries??? Or maybe finding their level given the 3 wins appear against the bottom 3?? Anything else?? Surprised to see a couple of comfortable loses at home. Dwight is normally a fortress.

Fingers crossed they can find their form again.

Interesting take, doesn’t seem like a massive number from year to year. Two or Three of their best few players last season and another two of their best few from the season prior hurts, also losing their best player from two seasons ago makes it 4-5 of their best 8-10 players in the last two seasons. Nothing new for Salisbury, plenty of kids who are being exposed and will continue to step up when they are given their opportunity. Hopefully the lads find their way back home in time and bring a few mates back along with them.

Always been Salisburys curse and it’ll probably plague them for a while longer yet, however they are in no different predicament than most other clubs year to year.

Would be interesting to see how they may fare if Slater, Prior, Gameau, Stevens, Duncan and Hee were all able to be retained.

Yeah look I was having a giggle coz the comment appears to have come back to bite EP on the backside.

Salis beat EP.

Always been the way out there. Happy to sling it around and beat teams while their down. But as soon as it’s their turn you don’t hear a peep!

Could be 7th after Rd 8. Will be tough to win that flag if they don't finish top 3 in that comp. Haven't played 3rd and 4th yet.

The Marion loss must have sent a fair ripple through the playing group I'd have thought. Older bodies, gets a bit tough to get yourself up for training if you've realised you're a fair way off it.

Not sure what you want anyone from EP to be saying after 4 losses on the trot? That doesn’t sit well with anyone, especially the playing group

Fitness has been a key factor but injuries have decimated us since the Greenacres game.. There’s 9 players from our starting 18 out right now, 4 of them haven’t played a game this season but should all be back within a week or 2 from the bye.

No excuses on our end but the results aren’t a true indicator of where we are at.. Greenacres loss was back and forth all day until the last quarter, Gaza we got 5 goals up early in the last and finished the game with 17 on the field due to injuries, Salisbury jumped us early but the rest of the game was pretty even! Gaza and Salisbury we should have beat comfortably, greenacres are a good side and obviously Marion was a wake up call

The bye has come at the perfect time for us and hopefully get a heap of cattle back next week and can turn things around to make sure we are still in the hunt for a double chance, couple huge weeks coming up though

I went to the Woody South v Marion game last week, and I’m really surprised Woody South are sitting on the bottom of the ladder without a win. Their midfield has some genuine talent, and their ruckman is a real weapon. They actually play a pretty solid brand of footy!

I’m not sure if Marion were at full strength, but Woody South matched them for three quarters, which says a lot. I heard they copped a heap of injuries earlier in the season, but apparently they’re getting a lot of players back after the break. If that’s the case, I reckon they could cause a few upsets before the year’s out.

From what I’ve seen so far, though, it’s definitely shaping up as a two-horse race in Div 5.

Having a look through Marion's side they are 1 or 2 injuries at the most.

15 of their B grade 21 have played A grade footy in the last 2 years. And 10 of their C grade have A grade footy under their belt (although some a long way back, so that's not a huge number).

Don't think Woody South finish bottom, which isn't great news for Trinity or any of the teams on 3/4. But maybe they do.

The two bottom sides of Woody South and Trinity getting the W.
Close games all round except for top of the table clash.

You reckon?? Bleedredandblue got them over the line, but it was a struggle. Pooraka lost the un-losable game at 3/4 time.

That would be up there with the best win we’ve had in the last 10 years (besides finals)

To be 5 goals down at 3qtr in the pouring rain with no bench left and 2 blokes on the field not being able to run, showed the character of the group! Been a tough month but starting to get some of the lads returning from injury has helped the spirits and think the win on Saturday will do wonders for the confidence of the group... Do yourself a favour and go watch the last quarter on dartfish :)

Still backing us in for a top 3 finish

I know Marion are good but pretty shocked by that demolition of greenacres… who I also thought were good.

Sort of ruins the comp a bit.

Becomes a game of who can catch them off-guard almost.

8 teams out of 10 with a percentage of less than 50. The scores against are ridiculous when you look at Marion giving up 354 and the next best being Gaza at 543. And then they've scored 930, and aside from Greenacres the next best is EP over 200 points behind. Crazy.
