I know we are all about protecting the head but there wasn’t alot of force in the tackle.
Silly/clumsy - Yes
Malice - No
Dangerous -Yes could have been
2-3 weeks would have been enough to send a message about these tackles
Especially when you consider that
Grant is a very fair, clean player and
the other 2 that were reported for similar tackles only received a small fine.
Anyway, what are you doing here … shouldn’t you be on holiday or something?
Going up the river as we speak.

Is he playing this week?
Herbert ruled out this week with neck ligament damage, cleared of any fracture, after experiencing tingling in his right arm, as per Andrew Capel in today's paper.
The Eagles hope Herbert will be fit to play after its bye next week.
Not sure if this is totally accurate. Speaking to someone close to the lad he still has no feeling in his arm and has a cracked vertebra, would have contributed to why he got five games. People complaining this is too harsh need to get up with the modern game, not part of football anymore

Saw the writing on the wall after last couple of games and has decided to retire from sanfl, effectively immediately.

People also need to understand Harry never intended for this result. It is not in his nature, in fact usually he is the victim of some pretty ordinary tactics. One only needs to see his immediate reaction to see this was not entirely intentional. And his subsequent impact on the game; he merely went thru the motions with no spirit at all... ending up with his lowest possession tally in 3 seasons.
Harry has not surfaced at the Club all week. He is very low. I am sure he has reached out to Kade to express his remorse. Not expecting sympathy, but a pile on is not helpful either.
As of Wednesday night, Kade was reportedly a chance to play next weekend, maybe that prognosis has changed.

Re: Round 10 Central v Adelaide
Mihail Lochowiak will play league this week after 3 games in the ressies.
His first league game in two years to this very weekend. On that day he hurt his knee but returned to the contest and kicked a goal from a set shot 50 metres out. Only to discover post match that he had done his ACL. Needed a second recon during pre season last year.
A great news story for the Club, just what is needed.

Great news about Mihail, hope he plays well.
All Doggies fans are behind you Harry, certainly didn't need the SANFL making an example of you.
As northerner mentioned, its not in his nature. He is one of the fairest players in the SANFL.

Re: Round 10 Central v Adelaide
Ollie Shaw out with hammie injury picked up at training.
So outs Harry, Pearce and Shaw
Ins... Reed (debut), Thomas and Mihail Lochowiak
And just to add to my "pissed off with football" mood... Brodie Smith who played as a sub for Crows last night has been given permission to help pile on the pain today.
Latest edit...... Smith won't play due to a delayed flight (bad weather from Tas).

Regardless of intention, and of course he wouldn't want to cause any serious harm, Herbert's fate was entirely in his hands. He can spend 5 weeks working on his tackling technique and thank his lucky stars he didn't make someone a quadriplegic. Hopefully he and Herbert are back and better come later in the year. Both are exceptional players, Herbert up and coming and Grant well and truly proven.

Re: Round 10 Central v Adelaide
I was speaking to about 20 sanfl players over the week. They were all planning on spear tackling someone this weekend until this lesson of a suspension was handed down.
Brilliant work SANFL!!

Oh well, at least the 4,000 Crows supporters there would be enjoying it.
