There is a shitload going around

Still getting over it, been a week now.

Nearly 2 weeks since I came down with the flu...well, it was flu on steroids. Can say with assuredness that I haven't been that crook in 10+ years.

Relentless fever and a cough that gave me an insight into the life of a pack a day, 40+ year smoker (to the point I was tested for pneumonia after coughing up blood - scary experience to say the least). Whilst those symptoms have disappeared - the aftereffects are total exhaustion at the end of the day. Now - I work a desk job, so there is absolutely no need for me to be desperately searching for a pillow come 7pm, but here we are.

Mrs. Valleys, vaccinated against Influenza A, lived with myself and Jnr. Valleys (both unvaccinated who came down with it) and didn't even develop a sniffle.

Lesson learned.

Incredible performance in May, came in 4/5 days for the week! A first for the year. It did coincide with a visit from Brisbane from the GM though so not sure if that played a part, but still, well done girl, really took your game to another level.

Sadly though, that week really took it out of her, and required the next 6 days off.

Riddled with bad luck over the weekend.

Done a big cook up for my sons birthday on Sunday with 18 guests, toilet clogged up Sunday morning, was a nightmare or the day, we managed to get through though.

Washing machine shat itself Monday then while I was at Bunnings looking for possible toilet clearing products I decided to treat myself to sausage sanga.

Snag was burnt, as were the onions and they must have been put on week old bread, I didn't say anything to them but it was clear that I wasn't impressed as I took a bite then leaned over their table to toss it in their bin.

Wasn't sure the vacuum was working properly so I had the genius idea to use some rice to test it. It wasn't working and the rice went everywhere when it hit the spinning spool.
