With the list we have, we are not a top 3 side.

Sturt looked organised, play the big ground well, finding space.

Credit to Montgomerie (excellent today), Posthuma, Iles, Shaw and Co in defence. Had plenty to do, and kept at it all day... this could have been so much worse than it was. Fwds lacked any fight for the contest, and no surprise that Grace played his worst game ever for the Dogs.

Maximus didn't look out of place, that's the only positive from that game.
Grant unfortunately set the tone with his turnovers early.
Any news on the injury to Gasper.
So I guess what you're saying is that nothing has really changed regarding our list.
We always seem to be 3 or 4 quality players away from being a consistent top 3 side.
We've been unlucky with retaining quality, some out of our hands which hurts.

GF preview…
Sturt by 8 pts.

Are you debating yourself now?

A week’s a long time in footy. Embrace the fact you’re clearly the best team in the competition & you weren’t affected by the mid season draft.

I’m well aware how footy works…. But you haven’t even given it a week… you’re conflicting comments aren’t even 36 hours apart :D

Conflicting? Debating? I made a call before the match, then gave an opinion after the match on the result, should I have waited until Friday to post again?

Sturt dominated this game. Well coached and Sturt broke down centrals from beginning to end.

We played differently from how we have all year. Trying to create with short passes that weren’t on and we were afraid to go down the line and back in our contest. We were dysfunctional

Monty was best Posthuma Kitschke Iles Monaghan and Barry can hold their heads high

The rest were ordinary.

Our best 22 is good. But our depth is shallow. Matz showed that today...he is 12 months away from being a league player.
Another case coming up... Gasper will need to be replaced (dislocated shoulder, had to go to hospital to get it back in place). Beau Ryan in the ressies kicked 3 and was 2nd best in the ressies as a small forward. But is he ready for league?
Then again, he had 5 tackles which was the same as the whole league fwd line combined.....
