Good thing he isn’t playing this week, I feared there would have been some unsavory incidents in the crowd

Re: PAFC 2025
The follow up by Davies after the sanction is pathetic. Yes Willie would be subject to racism daily, but to suggest players on the field calling him fat is racism is an absolute stretch.

Calling him fat isn’t racist.
Reminding him of the time he gatoraded his pee sample isn’t racist.
Both of these things can be attributed to Willie the person.
Port painting a picture that he’s being picked on doesn’t come off well.

Absolutely, David Wildy got through the first line and Malcolm cut him off and wouldn't let him finish, didn't like the race card that he believe Port played.

I just spent 15 mins of my life that I won’t get back listening to a load of drivel from CD about being the victim rather than taking responsibility for what is clearly unacceptable actions.
What Port have done with their statement and CD’s media conference today is cast slurs on the opposition players who are the real victims of Rioli’s repeated actions.
Just as being called fat (when clearly you are) isn’t racist, nor does being white automatically mean that you are racist.
FFS, let’s start treating people equally and when players are on the ground they are equal and should be treated the same, whether it’s for their good actions or poor.
This reminds me of the actions of the great Carlton player, Syd Jackson, who was reported for striking Collingwood’s Lee Adamson in the 1970 2nd-Semi, but claimed at the tribunal that Adamson racially abused him, resulting in the charge being dismissed, allowing him to play in the Grand Final.
How do you think that poor Collingwood player felt after being accused of being a racist when clearly he wasn’t?
When Rioli stupidly tried to evade a drug test by idiotically submitting a sports drink in place of a urine sample, was that because of racism? Were the 2 other breaches of the anti drugs code also because of racism?
By all means, if he has been the victim of racism by opposition players on the field then report them and try the alleged offenders … the AFL have had a process for this for a very long time. Curiously, no such reports have ever been made by Rioli or the clubs he has played for (not that I’m aware of, happy to be corrected). CD making vague accusations today saying he has written letters to the AFL isn’t the same as reporting specific behaviour after alleged incidents have occurred during a match.
Perhaps Rioli has to look at his behaviour and what social or other personal decisions he had made over a number of years since he has been an AFL player and maybe take some responsibility.
I haven’t heard what Blighty may have said, so can’t comment.
As a ‘multi nations’ person myself, who was on the receiving end of racism for many years growing up, I can sympathise with what some people have endured. What I can’t and won’t sympathise with are people who use this a smokescreen to hide their own behaviour in an attempt to avoid accountability.
That is all.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Here's where things become complex, if he interprets that as being an attack on his heritage then that's how he see's it. Not taking sides either way, just noting that for you and me it isn't taken as an attack on our people just an attack on your calorie intake.
