Interested in peoples takes on Div 1 this year - who will rise and who will fall?

Have Glenunga missed their window of opportunity to buy that flag? Have PAOC steadied the ship somewhat? Are SHOC and PNU poised to go a step further. Meanwhile are Districts the clear front runner?

Interesting interpretation that Glenunga have tried to buy a flag. Not aware of any club, particularly in Div 1, that doesn't bring new players into their team over time. The nucleus of their A-Grade have been with the Club for years. Players have then been brought in to top up, as/where required.

Have Glenunga missed their window of opportunity to buy that flag? Lost some quality but have gained some quality. Some of the rest of caught up so I dont expect them to dominate like the last couple of years
Have PAOC steadied the ship somewhat? No - in trouble player wise until the back 9
Are SHOC and PNU poised to go a step further. SHOC - same / PNU better
Meanwhile are Districts the clear front runner? I would put Glenunga / District & PNU as the top 3
Improved List: Bronze Grove, Salisbury North, SPOC
About the same: SHOC

Struggle: Broadview / PAOC / ROCS

Pretty well spot on i think, probably more open and difficult to pick the top 4 than the bottom 2 or 3

R2

Some great games this week

Broadview vs Prince Alfred OC (12pts) Broadies were a bit of a bogie side for PAOC last year 50/50
Salisbury Nth vs Payneham NU (12pts) 50/50 on this one. Will Wristy wear a 2-sided polo - Green / yellow / black & white :YMSICK: :vom:
SPOC vs Golden Grove[/b] (1pt) Bronze Grove only won by a point at Caterer last year & probably shouldn't have. Both sides better than last year but SPOC bettererr ( )
Sacred Heart vs Port District (12pts) SHOC only lose to them (& everyone else  ) in finals
Rostrevor OC vs Glenunga(24pts) Saw Davis at the last game & dont think he'll be back for a while unless he plays bench / forward pocket. ROCS always do well against PNU at PNU so I'll discount that win. Glenunga to win comfortably

Sitting in my hotel on the Vegas strip and about to start a 2 day commute to be home for this Anzac Day clash. Such an honour and privilege to be part of these days. We will be hosting the local RSL and pre-game there will be the Ode, Anthem and Bugler. The ground will also be painted and we have hired the van from dartfish to ensure we can get the best coverage possible of such a great occasion. PNU boys will be invited in for beers post game and we will be joined by a lot of local parliamentarians and councilmen as we aim to connect our community and pay tribute to those who have given so much.

Huge thanks to the PNU players, Coaches and committee for agreeing to playing the game on ANZAC day. Not going to lie, i called in favours for this one. I think it will be a great day for both clubs and the players will get an electric experience. Should be an absolute cracker! Hopefully we can get our first win in Div 1 at the expense of my old mob.

Reds
Hawks
GG
SHOC
Rams?
Not sure what i tipped on BTP 3 weeks ago, feels like a season ago.

Rostrevor led all day and were probably unlucky not to win. Kick after the siren hit the post, too!!
