RMFL clubs....hills clubs...GSFL clubs...Kntfl clubs.... and all other country leagues are on a sliding scale

can't have one league getting 15 points every club........other clubs in other leagues get 3 or 4 or 5 or 6.....depending on factors
every club should get 15.....end of story.....not a level playing field.......no wonder country clubs might feel the need to pay more $$$ can't blame country clubs......if they decide to pay more $$$.....when not an equal playing field with AAPS points
Pretty sure all leagues get 15 points per club & it's the country leagues that distribute them on a sliding scale through their various by-laws.

What the heck are you on about? Each league gets the same average allocations per club, it’s then up to the individual league how those points are distributed.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
Isn’t the whole basis of country clubs having sliding points scales aimed so there is equality in the competition? Clubs that are struggling can recruit more players in than those dominating i.e. last year Two Wells 2pts, Virginia 18pts.
If clubs in the country received the same number of points each year it would surely title the scales to the large affluent clubs who would go from strength to strength.
Given there is no promotion / relegation in country comps, it would never even out like AdFL.

It’s why the salary cap & points system was brought in, by the CFL / SANFL, at the insistence of the country leagues
And imposed on the SAAFL under the threat of making all SAAFL players zero points & salary for country leagues
It’s quite a balancing act. Some of the $$ country sides offer high quality players, but also relatively fringe players, is significant.
The SAAFL doesn’t want to lose more players than they already do to country $$$… but the Association also wants to try to protect the boom and bust nature of heavy recruitment for a season or two before a club goes broke and everyone leaves.
I frankly have no idea what to do. The population in certain towns issue is real.

In my knowledge of the past 15 years, the SAAFL has always had a nett gain in total no. of players in/out As for the whinge about all teams having 15 points - so what? The promotion / relegation system does the equalisation. We use the system that was forced upon us. The SAAFL does use some discretion in that higher grade players (D3+ I think) are worth 1 point more
No we don't and having a lad play RMFL the last 2 seasons I got to a few games and witnessed first-hand the importance of football and netball to the towns. But SA is not Victoria. Our size compared to VIC and the fact that 78% of the SA population lives in Adelaide which I believe is far greater than any other capital city are the big challenges for SA country footy. This all makes the ongoing viability of some country leagues and clubs very tenuous. And for many country clubs a fair chunk of the A grade train in the city for nearly every training session which can't be ideal.
Country clubs could also once rely on teachers, police, hospital workers etc. moving to the town but the consolidation of those essential services across regional SA has caused that line of recruiting to dry up. So there has to be some sort of reality check with the sustainability of country footy in the current structure that goes way beyond points and salary cap.
There has been some movement in the South-East but not as much as SANFL Community Football were seemingly trying to broker. Changing Western Border to Limestone and Penola joining from KNTFL is all that's really happened to date. I still don't get the existence of the Murray Valley League (the old Riverland Independent). No juniors and one Senior team and a tiny bit of netball for clubs that are mostly an area rather than a town. Yet they are still drawing quite a few players from the city.
