What a load of gack that would be, surely it would just be Adelaide, a game could go ahead could go ahead at Marion but not at Unley?

I think it is vaguely explained in their adverse weather guidelines...

It is a very vague heat policy though. Years ago when I was heavily involved in Premier Cricket we always commented, that this was because the head honchos at Head Office didn't want to make a decision to "ruin a teams season" by abandoning games and they'd rely on umpires to do it instead.

The argument to all this is there are different temps all around though, while it doesn't vary massively: Salisbury gets hotter than Adelaide, which gets hotter than Christies Beach.

This is the same argument with rain too. If it is raining at West Beach, and not at Salisbury, does everyone have to come off the field?

My understanding that if it is forecast 38 or more the evening before SACA call all games off. If the forecast is 37 or below the evening before but the temperature on the day via the BOM reaches 38 at the venue of the game the umpires call the game off.
Other community competitions have the same ruling.

Winter and McInerney have been teeing off on Kensington's bowlers here. Both out now but did plenty of damage

3/162 in the 16th over

If Glenelg don’t win this one then they never will. Kensy need 203 to win. Should have been chasing 220-230 though so will think they are a chance.

Couple of observations:

1. The new points system has its first impact with Kensy having to leave out Wes Agar. Considering he just played in the BBL GF is massive out.
2. Jake Winter loved not having to face Spencer Johnson in a GF! You need to bounce out Jake as he can’t play short ball, can’t believe Thornton did not try at all as everyone knows this
3. Bowering injured yesterday is big out as pitch spinning and he a wicket taker
4. Also left out Bullimore who has been regular 1st Grade player and part of culture of the club, big selection call again.

FINALLY!, could the monkey be off the back and they do a WT and get all three?.....
Big game for their 2 day comp next round against the Eagles
The Pom they have now has gone 0, 96, 0 and goes back after 2 more games. Looks like came in to avoid relegation.
Talking of relegation could PT A go from winners to relegated. Uni will have the lawyers lined up you would think if they go down

Looks a very likely outcome. They are getting smashed by Sturt and even if the Bays lose this game, Port will be 30 points behind them, which is basically 2 games behind, with only 3 to go after the conclusion of this round. With Adelaide on 65, they're basically 3 games behind. Albeit, they have Adelaide and then Uni the next 2 games so even if they win these ones, it looks like they'll need to rely on other results or somehow jag an outright.
Uni definitely goners but can't see how the lawyers will save them from this one!
Let's see if Port do go down how many of their current players who "play for the love of the club" stick around? May be the highest paid Division 2 side ever.

They are spending a heap on several players, I suppose they got a premiership out of it, but if in Div 2 next year cant see how you justify paying all that coin. Might be able to invest in the Juniors for a change :D

They will be hoping to beat Adelaide outright next game as they still maybe vulnerable if dont get anymore points. They will then prepare a green top against Uni and hope for outright again. Will then get TTG on a road in last round which could be the crucial match.

Definitely facing an uphill battle but not out of it yet. Heard Uni were getting some "reinforcements" coming for last three games but may have left their run too late. Would be the worse Uni team seen for 15 years

Port's juniors doing a fair bit better this year to be fair. Competitive in all age groups, winning some matches.

Coming from a low base so great to see them turning things around

Will be interesting to see how teams look in finals. There'll be a few clubs who's 1st Grade line up changes a bit as overseas players head off.

Interesting that Poms leaving in 1st Grade used to impact right through the grades because clubs had to name shadow teams. I believe that requirement has gone? So if players have qualified for 2nd Grade you can pick them, even if that would ordinarily have left you with 9 players for your 1st Grade.

4 floggings (including 3 outrights) today. The top 4 as it stands, all winners.

TTG kept Glenelg out in the field all day out at Pertaringa and will invite them across town again tomorrow for the One Day Semi Final. Likewise, Kensington thrashed Uni and will play them again in the other One Day Semi Final tomorrow.

Ladder Round 7
Sturt 130 (KEN/GL/WT)
Kensington 120 (ST/WT/GL)
Tea Tree Gully 105 (UNI/AD/PA)
West Torrens 80 (GL/KEN/ST)
___________________
Adelaide 65 (PA/TTG/UNI)
Glenelg 50 (WT/ST/KEN)
Port Adelaide 20 (AD/UNI/TTG)
University 20 (TTG/PA/AD)

Last chance for Glenelg next week, who'll need a win to keep their finals chances alive. Port Adelaide and Uni looking very likely for relegation. The top 3 looking very strong heading in to finals.

Meanwhile in Div 2, East Torrens look miles ahead of the rest. Southerns keep their finals hopes alive, defeating Woodville and Prospect find themselves in a familiar location, at the foot of the table.

One day grand final will be a replay of the T20 one, Glenelg vs Kensington.

Interesting game at Pertaringa. Glenelg only managed 166 and TTG were 3/99 chasing but imploded. Marcus Lee wickets again. Has taken a truckload of wickets in 2nd grade over the years, he's earnt his 1st grade spot the hard way and is carrying on in similar fashion.

Uni were a chance to chase down Kensington's 237 until Sam Kerber got out.

Will be interesting to see which state guys will be available for the GF in a couple of weeks.
