My Div 6 GF tip
Ingle Farm v Fitzroy
Speaking to a St Paul's bloke yesterday though they have picked up a couple and could be right in the mix also.

Some confused folks getting around... or just hedging their bets - have heard a stack training with both Blackfriars and Fitzroy during the week. Must be why both clubs hating on each other so hard right now.
Also talking to someone heavily involved from Para Hills a few weeks back, don't think they knew who I was - which is an outrage in itself - but they were super confident that Para Hills were going to dominate this division.

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Two of my favourite memories..
1) A B grade final against West Croydon, Jeb Stubberfield stood behind the goals and abused me majority of the game. Can't recall a lot, but was references to the forum, cheeseburgers, fat c*nt, big mouth
2) Playing a masters game the other year, bloke wanders down, puts his hand on my shoulder and says "Are you The Bedge - i've got a bone to pick with you!"
Then of course there have often been the usual "chuck that on the forums you w@nker" and similar.
Ah what a time to be alive.

Be hard to train at two diff clubs if they train at the same time.
do wonders for numbers though!

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Be nice to see more than 20 on the track at Rowe Park.
For 3 sides that's ordinary, yeah it's hot blah blah blah, this is when you lay the foundation for a successful year, successful is not finishing 3rd 4th or 5th.
Pull ya heads in Farmers and get out there.
Feel free to share with your playing group Bedge.

Might be lucky to field a 3rd side after the draft fixtures came out yesterday and our C graders realised they were in the division of death.Password Please wrote:For 3 sides that's ordinary.
1. Adelaide Lutheran - 2nd C6, won 15 lost 2. Grand Finalist
2. Adelaide Uni - 4th C6, won 10 and lost 7. Prelim Finalist
3. Golden Grove - Minor premiers C5, won 16 and lost 2
4. Houghton - 7th C6, won 5 and lost 11
5. Ingle Farm - 8th C6, won 4 and lost 13
6. Lockleys - 3rd C7, won 13 and lost 5. Semi Finalist
7. Modbury - undefeated premiers C6.
8. Para Hills - 3rd C6, won 12 and lost 5
9. Rosewater - 9th in C7, won 2 and lost 15.
10. Tea Tree Gully - 1st C7, won 16 and lost 1 game. Premiers.
Some serious teams in that division, and sides that are used to winning - will be good at the top end.. the North-East trio of Modbury, TTG and Golden Grove should have some some quality battles.

The fixture i saw said round 9-17 at home
Is there an oval redevelopment or something happening up there?

Yeah changerooms are being re-done. Was supposed to start last year and completed during the cricket season ready for footy, but the council are useless.beef wrote:are Ingle Farm playing away every week for first half of the year?

Expected to commence in March now, and we still have no idea on timeframes, but also we haven't been provided any visibility over what facilities will be provided during the construction - or where they'll go.
League were supportive in fixturing us away as we really don't know what to expect, but I'd suspect the entire bottom section will be an exclusion zone.
It's frustrating because it'll impact our ability to generate income we usually would get through canteen / BBQ etc.. we don't know what we will do with Jnrs either, however they don't start until end of April / May, but they are our greatest source of revenue for senior footy in terms of canteen sales etc.
Bottom line is we really are in the dark right now.
p.s. means trial game vs Salisbury will likely be moved..

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
A lot of those clubs above park some blokes in their C/D/E grade who should be playing way higher (although some are older and just looking to get a run around and a kick for fun after playing high level footy for a while). Makes for some horribly uneven competitions and weekly blowouts. The Bedge wrote:Might be lucky to field a 3rd side after the draft fixtures came out yesterday and our C graders realised they were in the division of death.Password Please wrote:For 3 sides that's ordinary.![]()
