What don’t you just ask her?
She may appreciate you asking

Well that clears it up a bit... nowhere near as flexible as she seems to be interpreting. Unless she has additional permission from her manager? The Bedge wrote:Supposed to be one day WFH per week if agreed with your boss.mots02 wrote:How flexible are the arrangements?
I've spent the last year reminding myself it's probably not my business.. but hard not to get frustrated when someone clearly is taking the p*ss when everyone is super busy as it is.
Our rostered days off are our Flexi Friday - idea is to work additional hours over the fortnight and get every second Friday off.
So far:
1st week - 1x work from home (Monday), 1x sick day (Friday)
2nd week - 3x work from home (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday), 1x Flex Friday
3rd week - 2x work from home (Monday, Tuesday), 1x sick day Thursday
4th week - 1x public holiday (Monday), 2x work from home (Wednesday, Thursday).
Days worked:
Mondays - 0
Tuesdays - 2
Wednesdays - 3
Thursdays - 1
Fridays - 1 (interestingly was an early finish for "drinks" with a former colleague).

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
The main consideration I think Bedge is, are her absences from the office affecting your work?
If so, that might be the best way to raise it - i.e. impact on the work you're doing and KPIs/deadlines/other measurables.

Nah she hasn't got approval. She's a nice girl, just young(ish), little immature in the world of being an adult..
For our team, it's only her and I based in Adelaide the rest are in Brisbane, so I feel it's more a matter of out of sight, out of mind - no one is here to really hold her to account - and as Dedja pointed out that's not my place.
Anyway, i've had my rant, i feel better now!

Maybe some people may wonder why their workmates seem to spend so much time on a non-work online site, say for example, http://www.safooty.net, during work hours.

Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
Since COVID hit and Victoria shat the bed we've got one bloke who WFH two days a week.
I bet you can't pick which two days they are?
Hint - They are the same two days his wife goes to the office and they have two kids under 4.

To me, this is the best thing to come from it. Giving families the flexibility to save on daycare costs.Booney wrote:Since COVID hit and Victoria shat the bed we've got one bloke who WFH two days a week.

Problem is he takes the piss. Monday and Friday is his WFH days and whenever you call he doesn't answer, the odd occasion he picks up it sounds like you've called a childcare centre. He's our group engineer on probably $300k+.MW wrote:To me, this is the best thing to come from it. You’re not doing 8 hour work days if you are looking after 2 kids under 4

I work from home full timelocky801 wrote:How many that work from home actually do an 8 hour days workBrodlach wrote:You’re not doing 8 hour work days if you are looking after 2 kids under 4
I’m online between 7am to 6pm.
The hours I actually work differ daily depending on what I’m doing but the company still gets 40+ hours from me somewhere in the week

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
Similar, but WFH 3 days a week. They well and truly get 40+ from me, working across both APAC and EU business areas, it's a 16 hour workday span.amber_fluid wrote:I work from home full timelocky801 wrote:How many that work from home actually do an 8 hour days workBrodlach wrote:You’re not doing 8 hour work days if you are looking after 2 kids under 4
