Best value SANFL club for dinner?

Postby Sojourner » Thu Nov 01, 2007 8:25 pm

I havent had the opportunity to visit all the SANFL licensed clubs, yet I am managing to work my way around - South, Glenelg, Eagles (Port Rd & Woodville), Grand North and Grand Central I have done so far. I have been most often to the Eagles Club on Port Rd, being that I used to live around the corner, yet Grand North on Grand Junction Rd is where I tend to call in the most being as its now my local.

Yet I have to confess to never having been along to the West Adelaide Club and wondered for those that have called in there what it is like? Is it worth the trip down from Modbury! 8)

Alternitivley, Excluding your own club, which other club do you find the best value and atmosphere? :drinkers: :partyman:

I live a drop punt away from the club and occasionally sneek in there for a coldy or two. Can't complain about the service and the food is reasonable IMO.

can't say that I have been to any other club yet apart from the Port Club after the Sunday game we played down there this year. It was packed and the beer was cold no complaints from me there

Have heard the Nor East is fairly average, apart from Grand Central, i have found the Northern Tavern to be quite good.

I'd wait a while before visiting Westies.

It's a bit restricted for a while due to renovations for the new smoking areas.

Been to the Nor East a number of times and think the food, service and price as being exceptional. Havent been to any other club's venues so not qualified to compare.

Only go to Grand Central.

The meals are great and the beer cold.

Me and my dad were looking for a fish meal in town.

Bloody hard to find a park.

Suggested Grand Central.

NEVER DISAPOINTED THERE...!

This is not an add.....

My dad is 89.

We couldn't eat the entire meal....
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Excluding my own club I've only ever eaten at the Eagles place on Port Rd and South's place for a quick lunch.

Eagles place was great value where the South lunch was adequate.
