There’s an old adage in cricket, you don’t sledge the good players because more often than not it comes back to bite you.

The Australians of Waugh Pontings era had simple rule that you didn’t sledge the likes of Lara, Tendulkar Akram and Ambrose you know the jets like Bumrah as is now. We sledge Ambrose twice and While both Jones and S Waugh won the battle, Australia lost the war ( that one day game and that Test)

I got no real problem with konstas having a yap but FFS choose your target!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Just saw Khawaja/Konstas/Bumrah again

This is how I see the perpetrators and the opinions in the after math

Khawaja deliberately didnt face up in his batting stance and clearly wanted to waste time and no more overs
Its within the rules- but ....

Konstas was probably baiting Bumrah to waste time so no more overs
Its within the rules but ....

Kohli did we see his reaction- ran up to Konstas and mocked him with body language [ and perhaps verbal] on dismissal
Its within the rules but

Bumrah entitled to show his frustration
Best bowler in the cosmos and a nice bloke and my fav Indian cricketer

End result Khawaja out 2 balls later
I like Uzzie, but serves him right for time wasting

Booney
Nice bloke for a Port Adelaide barracker

WHUFC
Nice bloke for a Centrals barracker

VERIDCT
No one should be certain that poking the bear was why Uzzie got out
It might have- it might not off- no one can say 100% it was so
Take this to a court room , and unless Perry Mason was involved, the judge would most likely dismiss the case as purely circumstantial

Aussie should keep their mouths closed for the next 4 days, win the Test then just point to the scoreboard.

Nah khawaja got his own problems. Don't think Kontsas is responsible for hom getting out.
What he has done though is galvanised the opposition, right when they are showing signs of fracturing.

It became more than just a wicket (let's face it Uzzi is a walking wicket right now), it gave the opposition a motivating lift to finish the day on.
Now we see if kontsas can show he is as good as he thinks he is. If he makes 40, that's a pass mark.
Less than ten he is looking rank. And it's game on...

Is a T20 style 40 a pass mark or a normal Test 40 ? or both

Yes he did, it was in the first final of the World Series Cup in 1992-93

Deano came in at 1-41 chasing 247. He asks Ambrose to take off his sweatbands  Ambrose then goes ballistic and we’re all out 160 runs later Ambrose takes 4 wickets gets five for the match.

Next final we get rolled. Ambrose takes 4 wickets, West Indies win the trophy

Next test in Adelaide we’re 1-0 up in the Frank Worrell trophy as AB and Richie R toss the coin, Ambrose takes 10 wickets we lose by one run and he get MOTM

Off to Perth next, he takes nine wickets for **** all we lose by an innings and there goes Frank he gets MOTM and MOTS

In three weeks 4 games he basically takes 26 wickets st under 10.

Within a year Deano plays his last game for Australia….

So yeah it’s reallllll smart to sledge good players!!!

and can use a search engine

Deano was shafted at the end of his Test career, was easily in the best 11.

Don’t think you can trace that back to Curtly though.

He was already dropped from the test team, he was squeezed out for Martyn for that series.

Works both ways
Lets not forget when Steve Waugh upset Ambrose , Steve Waugh made 200 and AU won a defining test in the 1995 series in West Indies

Nah only works when a bowler is upset. I don’t make the rules that’s just what they are
