Struggle town.
Battling club. Bottom in both senior grades last year and struggling for junior numbers. Also couldn't field an A1 Netball side the last two years. They generally keep off season ins/outs pretty quiet but the rumors and now confirmed in the above post they could fall even further behind the rest of the comp.
Unfortunately, their location doesn't really help them and they don't have anywhere to go. West of them is Spalding which is already aligned and not moving, south of them is Min Man, RSMU and Southern Saints land, east is absolutely nothing and north is nothing until you get to Peterborough who are merged with Jamestown.
BBH's merging was more of a Burra takeover and that hasn't helped their cause with the Booborowie and Hallett communities.
If a club in the NEFL was to fold they would be the favourites imo sadly.

To have a serious impact they would need to be ex SANFL league, reserves or Div 1 and 2 amateur league. Going off previous recruiting.
Otherwise being a solid A Grader in the Barossa league or a league of that standards will make them a decent improvement
Make sure you remind them it snows in Burra haha

100% would love that mate.
We live 30 minutes west of Burra in Spalding so if you need a place to crash for the weekend our guest room is generally always free. Will throw in a few free beers at the Spalding pub with us. Not sure if that is a reward or punishment.

Re: NORTH EASTERN F/L
Latest Updates....
Min Man have signed 3 A Graders from Nurioopta. That will be their points allocation used up. They also have ex juniors Hugo Stockman and a Nicholls lad returning from Perth.
South Clare and BBH coach less still i believe, albeit both trying to actively recruit.
BSR have picked up Tommy Harslett from Kapunda and Henry Durrant from Southern Flinders. Both will most likely play B Grade but will add some much-needed depth and immediate A Grade talent to the squad.

Re: NORTH EASTERN F/L
Saints named a new coach
Brodie Cox from Kapunda , local know as he teaches at the school
Coached B grade at Kapunda
Did play at Eudunda in the days of Brayden Lyle and Stephen Carter
Hopefully he goes ok
the fall out will be interesting, again one of the locals, used to be a sponsor know a disgruntled supporter missed out again
Missed out 4 or 5 times now, und=fortunately would have a bit to offer - has coached country 15 at the eagles but unfortunately the playing group would walk if je was appointed

Re: NORTH EASTERN F/L
Probably a good get for the Saints.
You would know more but you feel like there might be a bit of transition stage at the Saints, obviously Blake Launer gone, Schmidt didnt play much last year but will he play again. Are the Priors playing again????
If they are starting to bring some young lads through which their seems to be a bit of talent a bloke with a teaching background could be a good get.
Blyth have signed Zach Still. Got to be honest and excuse my ignorance but not sure where he is from. Either way Blyth can do with bringing in some key position talent so should help them.

Re: NORTH EASTERN F/L
WWT Eagles held their coaches forum last name for all afilliated clubs down at Moonta....... heck of a drive which reflected in an average turnout.
The session had Heath Younie presenting fundamentals, Sam Jacobs talking about the pathways and Shane Reardon regarding underage coaching. Brenton Phillips and
The information was quality and was a good night, was a pretty good night by the Eagles albeit could have catered better.

Would have been at Moonta as the State u18's have a camp at Pt Hughes this week.
Heath is a great teacher of the game.

Yeah you are right on both accounts.
Lots of time for Heath, easy to listen to, easy information to digest and just talks from his perspective / experience rather than being a 'know it all'

Hearing Riverton have picked up Connor and Riley Smelt. Two handy additions up forward for the Hawks.
