Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
The yearly bashing of the Supercars event in Adelaide, and the associated road closures.
I’ve lived East of the city for the 40 odd years we’ve had racing in the city and it’s a minor inconvenience for only a few days.
Usually the worst of it is the first day of road restrictions, and then most people adjust the next day.
In any case, just use public transport … the O-Bahn is the easiest way to get into the city from the NE and it’s not affected at all by the road restrictions.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
I have several relatives who live in the Eastern suburbs
They ALL hate it when car races are on and because of the traffic congestion
I probably would as well if I resided on that side of town

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
A few years ago I did a few months flying in and out of Melbourne each week, and ended up flying in on Sunday night because it took twice as long to get from Tullamarine to the city than the flight from Adelaide to Melbourne if I left it to Mondays.locky801 wrote:Just like driving around in normal Sydney/Melbourne trafficArmchair expert wrote:Closing down half the city for a car race which cars go slower than the f1 safety car
I can get to the edge of the city from the East via side streets to miss most of the traffic, try doing that in the other capitals.

If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
Made a work meeting a few weeks back for this morning, looked at the address this morning - Fullarton Rd Dulwich,....great, allowed plenty of time and it actually wasn't too bad, we have very little to complain about here.

I drive the Brittania Roundabout everyday at least twice, ordinary traveling North in the morning with the holdup, going home South is awesome.
