Told this morning that they did not attend the chimney unveiling. Worse form if true.

I didn't think the opposition typically attended. Wouldn't many of them be working? I've been to one, a long time ago, and don't recall the opposition players or coaches attending, though I could be wrong. Poor form for the coach not to visit the opposition rooms though.

James Fantasia definitely was at the chimney unveiling in 2018 and spoke very well. He couldn't have praised North more that day and I remember him saying that North were the team that Norwood most expected to play even though they came from fifth. I have a feeling that Cotton, the coach was there at the time, but if he was I don't remember him speaking.

Was reported at the Bays B&F that it was best game of Footy Bruce McAveney has seen live in over 10 years. I don’t agree with him best game I’ve seen live, ever!

He must not have been at the 2018 SANFL Grand Final.

I doubt that Bruce would have liked either 2018 or 2024. He is a one-eyed Norwood supporter who doesn't even support an AFL club, just Norwood.
I said to a Glenelg friend of mine that it was the best spectacle since the 2018 Grand Final. He thought that it didn't quite have the freakish goals that 2018 had but this time the goalkicking heroics of one man were rewarded, unlike Mitch Grigg's 6 goal haul in 2018.

Glenelg’s Will Gould has had a three-match penalty for rough conduct during the 2024 Grand Final reduced to two matches following last night’s hearing before the SANFL Appeals Tribunal. SANFL Appeals Commissioner The Hon Michael David KC deemed a two-match sanction as the appropriate penalty for Gould’s rough conduct on Norwood’s Finn Heard in the SANFL Grand Final at Adelaide Oval on September 22. Gould was found guilty by the SANFL Tribunal panel on October 1 but appealed this decision. He will be unavailable for selection for the first two minor rounds of the 2025 season.

Dear am Bays, you have the wrong chimney in your avatar, but an understandable error considering you now have a few to choose from.

He's only got 8 fingers so fortunately he can still count them without taking his shoes and socks off

Been back long enough to be making up football stories to make out he is in the know. (Such as Darren Burgess going to Carlton).
