How do you get anything other than pick 60+, which you might not use, for someone who is in the bottom 3-4 on your list?
I edited my comment to include an example like Owies from Carlton
Carlton fans are in delusion, he isn't much chop but since he's our best small forward they think we might get a decent pick for him.
Might not get a decent pick however a good pick and him for Houston could have happened rather than two picks

Houston?
Great pickup if we can get him or he’s a thug if we don’t.
Isn’t that how it works?

Owies hasnt been delisted, a trade will still need to be done.
But he is uncontracted

Experienced assistant coach Murray Davis will join the Crows in the role of Coaching Director. Comes highly regarded from Brisbane

So Davis will be the coaches coach. If they get him Wright will oversee the lot? What does that mean for Adam Kelly? No room left in that kitchen. On another note, very strange there's been no delistings announced.

Wright will be more of a football director type role.
Kelly will go to admin, with the redevelopment going on he will focus on that.
No issues with no delistings, could potentially use anyone in any trades as a sweetener, why show your cards early if you don’t have to

In other changes, Michael Godden will have a greater emphasis on player and coach development, and Matthew Wright becomes SANFL Senior Coach while continuing to work with the Club’s emerging forwards.

I'm not sure anyone who the 15th placed club is delisting would hold much trade currency but who knows.

Who knows, Jack Darling is being picked up
Another team might like a Schoenberg, McHenry etc (although doubtful)
DFA can be picked up right through to March so they have plenty of time to find a club if cut. Clubs have weeks to settle on a squad before the draft

Darling is contracted for next year so a trade is the only way he can move.
Unlike the poor blokes at the Crows who have no idea what their futures are.

Think they would have a pretty good idea where they are at from their individual exit interview

You would certainly hope so, but the uncertainty puts doubt in everyone's head, including potential new clubs.
