I reckon it's good to see someone who 'hasn't played the game' or should I say ' hasn't played VFL/AFL' become a premiership coach. As it seems to be a pre-requisite you have to play at least 1 game to be a legit coach in the AFL.

Hard to compare eras but boy we are in a special time where young blokes like Ashcroft, Daicos, Sheezel, Reid can come into the AFL and have such an impact so quickly.
