Re: 2024 AFL Silly Season
Port need Houston to leave to get Luko to the club, not sure how they do it otherwise.
Personally I think Luko is a great KHB
I don't think Port can trade away their future picks next year seeing they have done it the last 2 years, I might be wrong though.

Under the AFL's rules, clubs can trade out a future first-round draft selection but if they do that, must retain the rest of their future selections for that draft. If they trade out a second, third or fourth-round future pick, they must hold their first-rounder for that year.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
If you want to go far, go together.

So if I read that correctly you can keep trading at least one future selection every year?

I reckon he's similar to a Jordan Ridley, in that he has great skills, great intercept mark, and you want him further up the ground, but they're not great 1v1.

Imagine if the Chairman put the clubs finals fortunes ahead of himself as Houston did in interviews.

I've offered them a list of players that they cannot approach in 2025.

Paid up big for what we thought was our new number 1 ruck as soon as things get a little tough he walks. He can f*ck off then.
So gave up roughly pick 29, 41 and 72 to get him.
What would we want in return?
St Kilda currently have 7, 24 and 43.
24 seems overs but 43 would be taking a big L.
Perhaps grab 24 and then swap our 36 with their 43?
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Re: 2024 AFL Silly Season
Adelaide Crows Fitness boss Darren Burgess’ 2IC Tim Parham has crossed to Port Adelaide.
Staff were told earlier today would be his last day.
Parham is highly regarded having worked at GWS, Arsenal (with Burgess), & Port in the past.
He has been appointed the head of strength and rehab at Alberton.

Us Cat fans will be wearing the whothefoxhat next season in the early rounds. Would have been daylight robbery if we pinched this flag. Some of the kittens got some invaluable finals experience (especially in the Brisbane loss) so our next finals tilt, whenever that might be, will have a bit more hunger in it I feel. Poor old Holmes though bloke is cursed.

So Stuey G still in charge of High Performance?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I read it that way, yes.
I think we'll get a first rounder + something for Houston then we can give GC next years first for Lukosius.
Houston has done us a favour by just wanting to get to Victoria, he's allowed us to shop him to the highest bidder and you'd think he'll have a few suitors.
