We got a quote for some work at our place which included $114 Withholding Tax. I asked the guy what it meant and who pays it. He told me he didn’t know, his invoice software adds it automatically. He said to just ignore it. This is a young lad just starting out, we are invoice 7. I am just trying to find out if he is digging some sort of hole for himself tax wise if he has told all his clients to ignore it.
He seems a decent young bloke, I suspect he needs to talk to an accountant but I would like to have some understanding of the implications so as to get him to do so.
