6, but.

The Match Review Officer graded the incident as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, sending Houston straight to the Tribunal.

Careless?

Conduct: Careless
Impact: Severe
Contact: High

Under the Classification Table the Base Sanction is 4 matches but there discretion for the sanction to be increased, but no discretion to decrease.

It's gone straight to the Tribunal so no scope for an early guilty plea if the MRT does not specify that only the minimum sanction is sought.

So, after all that it looks like 4 weeks is the minimum - and if the Tribunal is feeling nasty, maybe 1 or 2 more.

The Port v Adelaide rivalry is hot enough at the best of times and I don't think it's too long of a bow to draw to say Rachele's comments added fuel to a fire that was already burning.

Last year Burton said he hated the Crows franchise and Davies rolled out the professional jealousy after Jonas went with arrogant and entitled, all of which was unwarranted and made them look stupid when Adelaide went on to win 3 from 3 after those comments.

Rachele however went personal, me, my pearly whites weren't upset by his comments but he antagonized a supporter base the day before the game and then doubled down with his little celebration, there's little wonder then that both sides of the supporter base elevated the hatred towards each other and the people who went too far with racist and tasteless comments were lead there by the rest of us.

It all starts somewhere and while I'm not holding Rachele to account for all that took place, far from it, there's no doubt he poured some fluid onto a naked flame and the media outlets who rolled the comments out every newsbreak for 24 hours need to check themselves.

I would've laughed my head off if it was Rachelle who Houston put to sleep.

The guys an imposter in my mind. Can play a bit but picks and chooses as I've said in previous posts.
Soft cocked an attempt in the middle,(we all saw that one), kicks a great goal then the stupid celebration.
If someone threw something or jumped the fence and slapped him what carnage would then have unfolded?

I'm sure his senior teammates (tex)would like to harden him up some.

Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age but not really sure having a personality or celebrating with some shithousery is worth getting belted on a sporting field these days.

For me Rachele seems to struggle 'reading a crowd' including his own fans. He was having a shocker, they were down in the game, they aren't playing finals, yeah enjoy a goal for sure but maybe make it more about the team and get around your teammates then turning that moment into a 'me, me, me moment'. Especially given he has had a few contest shirking issues which from what i hear from Crows supporting mates and read on the socials is even frustrating his own supporters.

Well said.

Giving oxygen to those comments regardless of who says them is garbage.

The teethless comments were juvenile as was the celebration. He should have been put in the corner by his coach and told he can come out when he behaves.

Tom Jonas has said he was totally embarrassed to have to play along with the Chris Davies head games. Given his family and their background it is pretty understandable.

These actions fuel the idiots. Unfortunately there is no shortage of them.

The young Hawthorn group mostly ( bar Ginnivan ) are enjoying their celebrations with each other as they march into the 8 and towards finals action on the back of exciting, hard running football that's good to watch.

Rachele is hugging the crowd after his goal v Essendon and grinning at Port fans on the way to another early finish to his year and finish in the bottom 4. He's got some learning to do, for sure.
