Looking to upgrade the golf bag soon.

Thinking of going back to a big arse old staff bag again.

Some nice ones around to choose from. Like the look of the Taylyor Made Masters edition.

But I will probably stay true to my mates at Ping.

Nope.

Might buy one untried for $169

I got one a few years back.
Used it twice.
In the shed somewhere now.

I dont imagine it will improve my game much but it would be nice to know distances occassionally

I use the golf apps for distances, works well for me, even have a phone holder that sits on the handle of my buggy for easy access.

I use a scotscope H4 mainly for tracking shots.
Has a gps built in.
Use swingu for scoring and also quick yardages.
If it's just a casual round I go by gut feel and blue markers etc

Went to a conference yesterday and one of the stall holders were giving away sleeves of ProV1 balls. You betcha I filled out there survey and made sure everyone I knew there also did so they could give me the balls. Ended up with 2 dozen!
Still took all the Velocity balls I could from other stall holders for the home chipping bucket.

2nd hand but grooves still in great condition.
Needed a new wedge.
My 60° is 15+ yrs old but still works in a bunker
My 56 is 9yrs old

Used it exclusively on weekend where I'd use the other 2.
Still need to dial in distances.
Found it easy to use in bunkers

Had a voucher and a refund on shoes (boa broke so full refund)

Wanted to add in a club that would help fill in a gap.
Popped into drummond at West Beach yesterday and today.
Served by 2 different lads who weren't selling me a club per se - hello darlington/mile end.
But found the club I was looking for.
A carry of 175m-180m
My 7w goes 175m, but thats when I swing out of my boots, and not something I want to do with it.
Went through a variety of clubs.
Was content on just not finding what I was looking for... and as golfers we are always looking
Almost a last resort, Liam handed me - taylormade q10 fairway wood.
Taylormade not something I normally gravitate towards.
But this was good. A few outliers of pulling it left and a couple slice.
Overall the dispersion was good, spin rate was good. Probably launch a little lower than ideal around the 11° but they felt NICE.
Even the bad hits were carrying a whole lot more than I expected.

So after vouchers $119.

Twilight tomorrow
Somewhere Saturday, maybe not flaggy given cored last week.
Lady Bay Sunday.

#1 son has been playing with my 30 year old Wilson's at Thaxted, playing multiple days per week and got his h'cap down to 23. Yesterday he went and got fitted for new clubs and picks them up today, I fear the day that I become the 2nd best golfer in the family is much closer than I ever thought it would be :(

That happened to me about 3 years ago. When I get to play with the lad, I hit a good drive, he beats me by 50.... every time.

Tour Edge's - must admit I wouldn't go down that path but he is a student and limited budget, he got them an inch longer than standard as he is 6'2. They threw in a pair of $250 Oakleys as part of a promotion they have. He says they felt unreal, but I think anything would compared to the old wilsons!!!

Took advantage of some vouchers I had and the boxing day sales to head to Drummond and pick up a Mack Daddy Jaws 52 degree wedge for $168 (reduced from $250.

Hoping this will cover my poor short game
