Some similarities to the last time the clubs met, with South blowing the Power away early on with the opening 6 goals. This time however the hosts hung around, drawing to within 15 points late in the third before South steadied with 3 goals inside 2 minutes. The Power made a late run in the final term, but South did enough to hold on.

South moved the ball forward with greater intent than on some other occasions this season. Some the handball chains in particular were good to watch.

4th gamer Grocock put in an arousing display with 5 goals, Clavarino was terrific in defence while a few the lesser known names like Nye and Emile-Brennan were handy. Sid Draper displayed the attributes that will obviously have him picked up early in the draft.

63 free kicks for the day. Very whistle happy umpires.

First time I've ventured through the gates at Alberton since 2013. Might be rich coming from a South supporter, but the atmosphere today was as flat and apathetic as any I've experienced at a SANFL game. I did chuckle at being asked to pay to sit in the sparsely populated Williams Stand, so kept on walking..

The balding shapely chap is not up to SANFL standard umpiring, he's simply not aware of the rules.

Great win by the Panfs.
Played an attacking brand of footy which is pleasing to the eye. Some really good performances individually but over all everyone played well. Signs looking good for next year, if we can retain everyone, and add a couple more.
Sid Draper- wow.
The facilities at Alberton these days are first class but the game was poorly attended, surprisingly a good number of Southies in attendance- great to see.

Not much atmosphere most weeks as any repartee with visiting fans descends into the same old tripe so not much gets said.

Was a good smattering of Panfers there yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised and well done to those of you who made the effort to support your club.

Game was over 15 minutes in and although I thought we'd clamber back that 3 minute burst at the end of the third quarter put pave to that. Deserved the 2 points.

We had a bald, shapely man in pink who was not up to SANFL umpiring standard running around Unley at the same time. Maybe its a recruitment philosophy? maybe they're looking for a type?

That's the SANFL Umpire Director's (Shane) son (Matt). He cant make good positions anymore hence why he makes poor decisions.

Makes fat unfit 300 odd senior games of umpiring hazbeens like me, think that I'm still of chance of making an SANFL League umpiring debut. Its one of the reason why the SA Umpire fraternity is the source of much mirth and merriment amongst the other State Umpiring panels across the rest of Australia.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
