Early Predictions for most improved side in 2008?

Postby Sojourner » Sat Oct 27, 2007 5:54 pm

Excluding your own side, which side is your prediction for the most improved side for next season?

For me, West Adelaide, who I think are a real chance of making the five. A decent coach, a number of high quality recruits comming into the club will make them a fairly formidable side in 2008 one would think!

Yeah i'd say West with Collins on board, but really hard to make any predictions at this stage without knowing full INs and OUTs of each club.

Sorry to be a wet blanket but why are we doing these predictions threads when we don't even know the ins and outs?

But I'll play anyway :D

I'd expect Jack Cahill would improve any side

I can't really see any of the bottom four sides improving dramatically at this stage. I'll go with Glenelg...

West have the most room for improvement, bit hard to say who will improvr most until we know who has lost/picked up who.

Westies, Collins is a good coach and likely to bring some good Coburg players with him to add to the already signed Brown and Bailey.

Serious...How could westies be most improved in 08, they cannot get any worse, or they will be in Amatuer league in 09!!

Glenelg is my tip, If the rumours are right, Torney in, Bode all yr, Further development under Mickan, they would have to be a chance for top 3!
mind you losing Smith will hurt a bit..

And also, can Centrals improve any more! Does anyone think they can be beaten??? :(

West can be most improved if they move up more rungs on the ladder than any other club, pretty simple really.

Precisely that. West has more scope for improvement than any other team in the league. I reakon they will improve, too.

The one thing that should give Norwood supporters hope for the year ahead is that, for once, we enter the year on a more even financial footing with the other eight clubs. With the roaring success of our gaming venue we can afford to be far more aggressive in the off season than we've been able to for the last decade. How this will translate into actual recruits and on-field performances remains to be seen but at least we'll be competitive with the other offers.

God knows we need some good news. :(
