Re: CDFC 2024
Going to be interesting to see how we go this season.
There will be a lot of expectation on the boys after last season and finals are a must.
Honourable losses to the best sides wont cut it anymore we now have to beat those sides .
In saying that excited about where we can go this season .

Chisholm's back injury is causing some concern but he's receiving specialised treatment & sounds like he'll be tickety boo just in time for the start of the season.

He is a 20yo 188cm mid/defender who has played 2 seasons of regular league with Esat Perth.
Potentially 7 out of 9 of the newbees could play league in round one.
The two new talls are the least likely, with both being brought in as longer term propositions whilst they develop (with Pickering) under Buckets' guidance.
Selectors will have a nice challenge in fitting the new lads into the 22, considering our strong finish. They also have Ethan East to add.
From our last named side, only 3 are forced outs (Dahms, Hoskin and Linke). The squeeze is on.
Reasonably happy with recruiting so far.
Still disappointing that we haven't picked up a good key forward or a ready to play league footy ruckman.

Yep on the ruckman, but they are not readily available (as Spargo said).
In terms of the key forward, I would suggest Hugo Munn might be that guy. A few times last year he had a blistering start to a game, and then got thrown into the ruck and momentum was lost. I reckon he will be FT up forward this year.
The other aspect is that the Club has made it clear they felt the forwards were good enough (Lange, Munn, Grace) but the delivery they got needed improvement. There has been a big emphasis on recruiting guys who can run clear and deliver better service to the lads up front. And with Barry as a damaging mid size fwd and Dudley working hard on his fitness, I am excited with what we might see up fwd this season.

Cooper has won a position with the AFL in NT where he is currently playing. He's an out. Cowham has work pressures which will impact his season, but I am hearing he will still play when he can. Aaron has retired.

Seems that we have a few more on the outs list that haven't been listed as yet.
Do we have any other potential recruits training with the club?

Re: CDFC 2024
I Like Mccormack as a ruckman. He's damaging around the ground and is an excellent contested mark,
He and Munn are a good ruck combination IMHO

Re: CDFC 2024
Senior Men's Update
As we head into the New Year and our 2024 campaign, we would like to keep you up to date regarding player injuries, and list management.
Tasmania recruit Oscar Harper has decided after training the month prior to Christmas that he does not have the commitment or desire to play SANFL football and has returned to the Apple Isle. We would like to wish Oscar well in his future endeavors.
Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news regarding 2023 recruit Mihail Lochowiak who has re-ruptured the ACL injury he originally hurt in round 3 2023. Mihail has already had his second operation and will miss the entire 2024 season.
Midfielder Leyton Chisholm will have a delayed start to our 2024 campaign as he will have a small procedure on his lower back that has been causing him some discomfort. It is expected that Leyton will be available to play within the first month of the season.
Below is a final list of our ins & outs for season 2024.
Out (played senior football only) – Justin Hoskin (ret), Aaron Nietschke (ret), Dylan Weaver (ret), Luke Habel (ret), Chris Olsson (ret), Rhys Cannizzaro (ret), Blake Launer (ret), Fletcher Carroll (returned to Albury), Shai Linke (work commitments), Lewis Cowham (work/study Commitments) & Jack Carpenter (work/study Commitments).
In – Harvey Howe, Dayne Posthuma, Kade Dittmar, Jake Gasper, Wilson Barry, Kai Pudney, Jack Callinan & Max Monaghan.

I spoke to Cooper the other night,
still undecided,
that's an OUT as far as I'm concerned,
it's the end of February!

So unlikely he'll be available for first half of the season.
Is Steven Clark a new player to the club?
Do we have any other potential recruits?

Steven Clark is the Club solicitor!
8 recruits, with 6 or 7 in line for league sooner rather than later.
