Yes they had a tough year last year only winning 2 games, but they lost another 3 by less than 10 points and scored over 100 points in 5 of their losses. They were potent.

Before last year they've carried a win percentage of 55% in the previous 6 seasons including a couple of prelim finals - one being in D4 in a tough comp. Their winning percentage stacks up as good as if not better than most in the league over that period - and 55% would see you play finals more often than not.

They've managed to retain most of their players, they've brought back almost everyone that has been involved in previous successful seasons and they've added some potency to that with acquisitions such as Luke Buckby and Luke Smith. They will have one of if not the most damaging forward lines in the competition, complimented with proven ball winners through the middle third.

I think they have chinks in their armor of course, but on their deck at Dwight they'll prove to be almost unstoppable - there's 9 wins straight off the bat.

Big things happening down at Eastern Park - you can feel the buzz - across all their programs and levels.. only a fool would discount them.

Couldn't agree more.

They were a very decent relegated side, as you said score over 100pts on 5 occasions they lost and it would have been a similar amount of times that they lost games whilst having more scoring shots.

Watched a fair bit of their footy on dartfish last year and a lot of the inaccurate kicking was due to a high percentage of scoring shots coming from that 45-50m range which is always going to be low % at amateur level.

Only question mark possibly could be the defence. Rob Kovacic went back in the second half of the year and really held the defence together. His now left, but with the forward line they have its hard to see teams beating them.

EP flag favourites for sure.

Rosewater have picked up a handful from Portland and reportedly 40 on the track. Not sure if they were A or Bgrade boys at Portland.

Im surprised that more mention hasn't been made of Portland and I mean because sadly, it sounds like they're possibly going to struggle to get one team together, let alone two

It’s sad the demise of this once great club.
Covid ruined alot things but it definitely ruined Portland.

Give em a chance, might pull a rabbit. Neade & Milera recommitted coz they believed in the plan and direction Dean was taking so many there’s life left in Portland yet…

At least I hope so, don’t need Rosewater getting stronger. :lol:

Yeah, numbers have been fairly good, not sure that the quality is there to be matching it with the top end

Not that Im aware of but if you have admin access to your club's playhq then you can run a fixture report. But it can change at anytime

@Bedge,

can you confirm or deny the rumor you'll be wearing a FFC Guernsey sometime this year?
