That’s what doesn’t make sense here as they said she was carrying a mobile

Surely that can’t be right? Seems way too high

Makes sense, if you’re going to lose your freedom potentially forever, why would you lose it for a random.

You’d have to severely hate someone to commit such an act.

Just one home wasn't it? 15 minutes after she left so not on the trail yet.

Which was in the opposite direction?

I thought it was two homes they said on the news this week, I was more so thinking she wasn’t murdered at home then dumped. Looking for a positive

Yeah, I wasn’t paying the utmost attention, just tuning in to bits and pieces

I must admit 95% feels right.
I mean I've never had the urge to kill someone I don't know, but there have been plenty of times, especially at work, where I've sat there thinking about all the different ways I could knock certain people off.

In my younger days I once said to my leading hand “if you speak to me like shit one more time I’m going to follow you home and beat you up in front of your wife and kids”

Hate to jump to conclusions, but this stinks...
They are worried about abandoned mine shafts. As an avid trail runner, you never run off the trails, its just too difficult through the bush so I highly doubt that she's fallen down a mine shaft. Especially running by yourself on a 36deg day, she would have stayed on shady trails.

The police made an arrest this morning

Police investigating the suspicious disappearance of Ballarat woman Samantha Murphy have arrested a man.

The 22-year-old from Ballarat was detained in the regional city on Wednesday morning.

The man is not connected to the Murphy family.

His arrest follows a major missing persons squad probe into the February 4 disappearance of the mother of three.

The man was arrested at his home just after 6am on Wednesday, March 6.

He remains in custody but no charges have yet been laid.

Ms Murphy was last seen leaving her Eureka St home about 7am on Sunday, February 4.

Extensive searches of the Canadian Forest area have not uncovered any trace of the 51-year-old mother.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage and is yet to speak to police to come forward.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
