and to crash for a lengthy period on the biggest night of the SA Footy calendar is horrendous.

Imagine if it wasn't being shown on TV?

(not a crack at Diss either by the way, it's not like he's the one making it crash all the time) - but lets face it - the software is sucking.

We had 280 odd people on here on Magarey night a few years back without any drama, nowdays the site crashes with not even 60 people on it.

I'm a techo dummy - but trying to blame the amount of people on here just doesn't add up.

Way more people on the site 5 years ago in general compared to now.

I haven't blamed the number of people on here.

The software is a bucket. And every post, every update, and every word search match is a drop of water. It doesn't matter about the influx of the last few months - drops don't disappear.

Number of posts in the posts table before I send this: 2,082,136

And so you can search the forum, the software indexes all words in all posts and has it's own table for that.

The number of records in that table? 47,927,603

And people tracking topics - there's over 1.5M records in that too

First thing I'll probably do is untrack all posts.
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.

I said size/popularity of the site. Same as Diss said.
If it wasn't popular or large and had no posts like some forums we'd have no troubles!

I blame the AFL Reserves.
There's no doubt it's got worse since they were let in.

Crows will have some tracking software that is logging every post on here so they can see who the trouble makers are.

The correlation is quite clear. If you want to improve the software performance and reduce the system crashes, then get rid or the AFL Reserves.

I've been struggling to log in properly lately

Have tried various browsers on my phone. On some the login button doesn't do anything on others I can log in but as soon as I visit a different board it logs me back out. Never had issues previously.

Not sure if others have experienced the same?

There was a brief period about mid morning where productivity levels in the workplace spiked to a level never seen before.
Also in that time there was heightened levels of tension and anxiety, yet people couldn't be honest about what was the real cause of these emotions to HR departments

We're not that advanced, we had to replace the mice and rubber bands.

Thanks to Dedja who advised me all the people who posted in the future wouldn't be able to post again until they got back to that time.
I've deleted their "future" posts now, so hopefully that fixes any issues.
If that doesn't work I'll have to dismantle their Tardises.

I've always used Google Crome and I'm now having a security issue trying to access safooty.net and only with this site.

I get this warning when trying to access SA Footy:

Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from safooty.net (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). Learn more about this warning
net::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

This server could not prove that it is safooty.net; its security certificate expired 3 days ago. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. Your computer's clock is currently set to Sunday 19 January 2025. Does that look right? If not, you should correct your system's clock and then refresh this page.

Proceed to safooty.net (unsafe)

So does a security certificate or something need to be updated?

Glad it's not just me but I clear cookies regularly and it makes no difference. It's been going on for days now. It's the only site in my bookmarks list doing this too.
