Friendiliest batting conditions on a day 1 of a Test in Australia for many many years and the Windies still couldn't get to 100 without losing 5 top order batsmen is the best example yet of just how far off the pace they are. Even a crap team should be posting a minimum 350+ on this pitch.

I’m happy to see these two show some spine though. The only way teams like the Windies will get better is to play the better teams more.

Hope these 2 can bat a few sessions and get them to a competitive score to make a game of it
They'll find it tough to bowl Australia out on this pitch

That's an anomaly. This should be the minimum. Why, as a fielding side, wouldn't you try to get as many overs as possible in the last 30 minutes?
