I think Smith will want to prove himself at opener, he'll bat a full day himself.

I can't see us bowling first if we win the toss.
I think we bat, bat long, roll them, then bat again just to give our bowlers a rest.

A perfect test for cricket Australia would be;

Day 1- Australia win the toss bat all day
Day 2- Australia bat until just before dark
Day 3- West indies bowled out before lunch. Australia bat rest of day.
Day 4- Australia bat / declare before lunch bowl Windies out by the end of the night.

Um, it's not a day/nighter WHUFC. Brisbane has the day/nighter.

Just noticed the start time as 10am instead of what has become the more recent norm of 10.30am. Anyone know why this is?

Extra half hour takes stumps to 17:30 hrs CDST or 18:00 hrs EDST, straight to the SYD/MEL/HOB News and for QLD viewers at 17:00 hrs EST Family Feud/Wheel of Fortune

Yes, wind your clocks back 30 years when you go to QLD...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

This obsession with the networks having things run into the news is strange these days. Other than ageing wise men like many on here - who actually watches the news anymore.

Lol, a ten a.m. start time, total farce. Why is it so hard for the clowns running things to leave well enough alone?

Oh well, I guess this test match occurring in Adelaide in January in fine weather will not see days end prematurely on account of bad light.

Did you read AM Bays post above? Explains why it's probably a 10am start.

Be interesting the number of no balls West Indies bowl during the test... Multiple no balls were bowled and not called ... Umpires were ones that didnt make the BBL roster ..

Me, I enjoy the glistening cleave of Kate Collins.

Got the work corporate box on Saturday, what are the chances of it going into day 4? Definitely would need to bat first today.

You’ll have more chance of spending a night with Emily Ratajkowski.

Probably for the same reason they showed crappy TV shows in the 90s from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm when they could've been showing the 1st session from Edgbaston, Lords, Old Trafford, 'Eadingly, Trent bridge and The Oval

The ratings tell them to

But yeah I too miss the days of 11 am to 6 pm test match hours

I also miss $1.90 pints of WE Draught
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
