Re: Bands coming to Adelaide
TMOC ranked #2 gig at the Hall this year, made my day seeing that amongst the "newer" musicians.
Been a solid year of gigs, many repeat gigs however ticked one band off the bucket list (smashing pumpkins), there are rumours of Metallica and Pearl Jam for 2024, both would pretty much complete my list (of those still around/touring)

Re: Bands coming to Adelaide
Went to Cry Baby for a free Grinspoon show, first in best dressed.
Lined up at 5 for 6pm doors, probably 70th in line. Got in easy.
Probably 130 odd let in, $7 Young Henry Hazy, $7 Vodkas. Tick and Mrs Tick.
Grinspoon on at 845. Went off. Sweaty. Packed. Jumping. It was awesome.

Only $30 a ticket too, might be worth a peak since it's just up the road for me.locky801 wrote:Six and Out at the Gov on January 19, Brett Lee's band with a host of other cricketers and special guest artists, they are pretty good

Re: Bands coming to Adelaide
Yes I've been there multiple times, first time was to see Pennywise back in November 2017 and since then I've seen Dropkick Murphy's, Goldfinger/Millencolin, Pennywise again, Vance Joy and now Grinspoon there (Can't recall any other times off the top of my head). I like it better than the Entertainment Centre Theatre (where I've seen Grinspoon twice before and most recently Pete Murray) because being a smaller venue if you're at the front so much closer to the band/artist or your perched up higher on the levels for a very good view.Booney wrote:Yeah mate, really liked it. The Shoebox at the Ent Cent is a rubbish venue, no feel about it. HSMH is a great spot to see a show. The Dark Knight wrote:Yes I've been there multiple times, first time was to see Pennywise back in November 2017 and since then I've seen Dropkick Murphy's, Goldfinger/Millencolin, Pennywise again, Vance Joy and now Grinspoon there (Can't recall any other times off the top of my head). The Gov - 700 people
HSMH - 1800 people
Thebby - 2000 people
The Woodshed - 200 people ( might just take over from Enigma )
@The Dark Knight, been in there yet mate?

Provided they pay in cash and don't offer "loans" like Gaza, they'll be fine, I'm sureDutchy wrote:Very smart if thats what they are doing, wenchbarwer wrote:Got to pay for all those new recruits somehow!Dutchy wrote:Fitzy's show down at Porties on 24th Feb looks unreal, TMOC headlining with West Thebby & Children Collide - 3 of my favourites, pity Ill be on a ******* cruise going nowhere off Adelaide at the time![]()

It's uncanny isn't it, 2 days after I set off on a 3 week road trip, Dinosaur Jr are playing one of my favourite albums in full at the HSMH
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.
