Re: 2023-24 NBL Season
Illawarra winning with 69 points would be around the mark for lowest winning total for some time.

Re: 2023-24 NBL Season
Good question, all I know is it's not the Hawks lowest ever winning score. They had a 68 point win in October 2012 which was their record at the time.

On top of that, Wollongong's 68 points in Cairns was the lowest winning score in the club's history - and the Hawks were an inaugural NBL club in 1979.

Re: 2023-24 NBL Season
The Adelaide 36ers have decided to part ways with Head Coach CJ Bruton by mutual agreement.
Bruton has led the 36ers since the start of the NBL22 season, with a career win-loss record of 27-40 over 67 games.
“We thank CJ for his tireless efforts, both on an off the court, but we believe it’s time to go in a new direction,” Adelaide 36ers CEO Nic Barbato said.
“The 36ers organisation would like to thank CJ for his time at the Club and wish him and his family all the best for their future endeavours.”
Current assistant coach, club Hall of Fame legend Scott Ninnis will fill the role as interim head coach for the remainder of the NBL24 season

Re: 2023-24 NBL Season
Sixers are in danger of reaching Gold Coast Suns-like irrelevance, if they haven't already.
To hear they've been spending the most money the last couple of seasons as well to get these kind of results is just shameful.

Re: 2023-24 NBL Season
Probably should've been fired after his first season. CJ should never have been allowed to coach that loaded roster last season, beat the Phoenix Suns and then come back here and finish 8th on the ladder.
So Ninnis gets a second go as Sixers coach hopefully not a wooden spoon like last time.

Re: 2023-24 NBL Season
Erin Philips wants to get back into basketball coaching I've seen her at games this season sitting next to Ken Cole taking notes, give it to her.
The positive PR of the first ever female head coach of an NBL team would be good too.

Female or not she would be great for the role.
Anyone would be better than Ninnis

If you think Erin could go into head NBL coach straight away you're kidding...
no doubt could do it but would need a few years in the system first.

Re: 2023-24 NBL Season
Even though it would be a big call Erin spent a few years as an assistant coach in the WNBA before the whole AFLW thing started.
So she does have some basketball coaching experience but admittedly not with men.
