Pakistan have named their test squad for upcoming series.
Naseem Shah not named as he is still recovering from a shoulder injury that kept him out of the World Cup and Haris Rauf made himself unavailable for selection.

Harris still has at least another 2 opportunities ahead of him at test level to prove he isn’t up to it.
Why put Green in there?

Green needs runs to get this test spot back from Marsh.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Marsh didn't bat well at the Oval, and a few more failures might suggest a reversion to the mean and time to look at someone else.

But I agree, Green needs runs to be that someone else.

Running the risk of slipping behind on the pecking order to Neser too

Not sure.

Would be a difficult situation with both being away so often

Edit. Just googled it and they just bought a $20 million home three days ago so I doubt it.

25 million actually Beyond the house, its add-ons include everything from equestrian facilities, stables, a tennis court, swimming pool, cabana, pavilion, at least one fire pit, a fairly impressive chicken coop, a kitchen garden, and some of the suburb's best district views.

Believe their old house sold for about 9 mllion
