Some weird shit going on tonight. People getting votes when they played like crap.Vamos wrote:Neale has it in the bag, didn’t think he had all that good a year compared to the other year he won it.

Neale got 3 votes in a game where he got 20 touches and Charlie Cameron gets 1 vote for kicking 7stan wrote:Some weird shit going on tonight. The Jeremy Cameron 6 goal and 25 touches effort also an odd one. Only got him 1 vote, and he was easily the best on that night.JK wrote:Not sure it was the right result, but glad I had a saver on Neale not long before the count started. JHF 3 votes for a 13 disposal 0 goal game with only 7 effective disposals another bizarre one.

whufc wrote:Definitely one of the more bizzare Brownlow counts.
Reinforces a lot of thoughts on the Brownlow that already exist. Kicking goals is outweighed significantly by midfielders.
Being at the bottom of packs and returning the ball time after to time to the umpire is the best way to get votes.

Sure you might get 40 odd possessions but be a bit lippy or question an umps decisions and that could reflect on an umpires votes.
It is a fairest and best player award after all.
The JHF getting 3 votes for a 13 possession game is bizarre.
Daicos has a 41 possession game at 85 percent efficiency and doesn't get a vote.. .weird!
