Its not worthy of its own thread, and i dont know where else to post it, but apparently former Crows and St Kilda player James Begley has been appointed to Fremantle's coaching staff. Apparently his specific title is "General Manager – Leadership and Development". Bit surprising that he'd go to WA to further his off field football career, especially as he came back to the Crows from St Kilda for family/personal reasons.

Prescott got an assistant role with the Bombers

all I hear is silence, Prescott and Knights were team mates, isn't this a"job for the boys" situation....

sorry I forgot

this only applies to the crows......

Knights doesn't have any credibility as a coach anyway although in saying this i think Prescott was highly regarded as a coach in WA so this would have helped him to get this job.

You're right Psyber, still was interesting to hear him appointed to a position 2700 k's away. Good luck to him, dont have a problem with it at all.

GWW

my point, if you look at most of the clubs coaching panels, their is plenty of examples where senior Coaches have made assistant coaches appointments based on a trust relationship which was established as either team mates or at another club...

however, the crows are the only club that get singled out as "jobs for the boys"

Yeah like Matty Knights appointing his ex-Tigers team-mate Ashley Prescott to the Bombers coacing panel...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
