Gentleman I think some of you need to take a breathe.

We just won the world test championship and currently we have the poms 2-1 on there home decks and conditions.

We have also lost the goat which could hurt us badly in the end.

If we win the ashes I hope there's a lot of hat eating.

Old Trafford weather forecast for fourth Test
All data via Met Office. Last updated Friday, July 21.
Day 3 - Friday, July 21
Light rain is forecast across the day's play. The question is whether it will be firm or consistent enough to force the player's off the field.
There is an 80 per cent change of precipitation when the day comments around 11am-12pm.
The chance lowers significantly around lunch but rises to 40-50 per cent between 2pm-3pm.
Temperatures will hover around 15 to 17 degrees Celsius (59-62 degrees Fahrenheit).

Day 4 - Saturday, July 22
Saturday is shaping up to be the wettest day of this Test, with rain forecast across all three sessions.
There is a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain, which is expected throughout the entire day without much reprieve.
The temperature is not predicted to go above 17 degrees Celsius (62 degrees Fahrenheit).

Day 5 - Sunday, July 23
If either side is chasing a result come the final day, it could be a very frantic and unpredictable finish.
The chance of rain ranges from 40 to 50 per cent, with light showers forecast in patches throughout the entire day.
Temperatures will hover around 16 to 18 degrees Celsius (60 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit).

Aussies had a 7 goal lead at half time and thought they could put a player back in defence and hold on for the win...going to backfire badly.
Only saving grace is we can re-group for the 5th test with a 2-2 result and actually try and win a f..king game.

Bazball or not, the poms have our measure right now. As a supporter, I want to see us come back. Let's see some fighting ticker.

Our batters have in the main been ok, the fact that not 1 of them couldn't kick on and score 80+, or even 100 + score has hurt this game.

Sure, Crawley rode his luck, but he has 189 next to his name.

These two go together. They have got in our heads, did at Lords even though it didn't quite work out for them, more than being more talented cricketers IMO.

Yep agree, they started throwing doubt in the Aussies minds even after the 1st test with all their media banter about it feeling like that they had actually won it etc etc

Good prediction for Englands 2nd dig
Well poised with England up by 67 stumps day 2
Australia might lead by just over that 170 and bowl England out

Can one go as far as to say that if Chubby Brown had been called back we would still have won that test AND not stirred up a hornet's nest?

I think England will beat Australia
Unless it rains too much
No Lyon and now STARc has injured his shoulder makes it much tougher for the Aussies

Starc bowled a delivery that has been rather stark, I can't even remember what it's called but it directed at the batsman's toes...
