It's our club saying "Enough is enough" and I'm with them. Time for everyone to focus on the football.

Re: Your poison of choice?
that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is rather than threaten legal action against a small business having some fun, how about contact your former player who is trolling for likes using JHF as the bait and request he pulls his head in for the health and safety of JHF?Booney wrote:You think he's working under instruction? Re: Your poison of choice?
Cornes has ignored every attempt from people to get him to make those changes and often doubled down, he's not our responsibility, JHF is.

Re: Your poison of choice?
Your club could release a statement condemning the treatment Cornes dishes out to these easy targets? It is no coincidence that players he has targeted are the ones that are getting booed.
Point that out if you are serious about stamping it out.

Port/Cornes links aside, what club is going to make a statement condemning any journalist?

Re: Your poison of choice?
Fair to say that's a slightly different situation.
Anywho, I'll repeat, JHF is our responsibility, Cornes is not. He's making his bed.

Got it. Will condemn fans who boo him but not one of the causes.

Re: Your poison of choice?
Back on topic, managed to go to Billson's during the holidays (in Beechworth).
Enjoyed the cellar door experience- the premix vodkas are self serve tasting (free). Kids can also taste any of the cordials etc too.
Most are too sweet but the Pink Lemonade ones you could smash- where were these when I was 15? LOL.
Enjoyed a couple of their Gins and they make a nice Ginger Beer too. Grabbed a carton of various premixes and a half dozen of the cordials for the kids. They chucked in an extra cordial and a Portello stubby holder for the lad. Recommend a visit if you are ever in northern Vic. Great old town.
Also went to Bent Spoke in Canberra and did some tasting, came out with a couple of 10 packs (Sprocket and Red Nut), wife got some Ginger beer and I also grabbed 4 of the 'Hows it Gosen' sour which I really enjoyed. The Bent Folk stout and the Kriek de Brune were also winners on my tasting 'paddle'.
Car ride home was more uncomfortable with the additional 'stock' and the fact my daughter won a toy jackpot at Timezone in Dee Why (FFS)

Re: Your poison of choice?
Help needed!
Last few winters I have been loving the james squire jack of spades porter. Cannot find this year? Discontinued perhaps? At $50-60 per carton they were great tasting, easy to find and a bargain.
Anyway, if that is the case I need a replacement.
Recommendations? Looking for something similar that you can get in a carton. I do like the lobethal red truck porter but not as easy to get without a drive into the hills.
Cheers!

I bloody hope the jack of spade isn’t discontinued as I drink it in winter as well.Bandit wrote:Help needed!

I know Dan Murphy’s at Pasadena used to sell a lot of it and for that reason I use to always go there and get it as it was always in stock.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Re: Your poison of choice?
I think it has gone as a couple of James Squires have been discontinued (Golden Ale also and another I can’t remember)

Re: Your poison of choice?
As a general rule I do not get into flavoured beers. I like my beer to taste like beer, not mangoes or chocolate.
Today I found myself in Goodison brewery, McLaren Vale. They had several stouts on tap and I grabbed a sample of each on a paddle.
WOW! their coffee stout is the absolute shiznit! It smells like a long black, it has a long black taste, but its unmistakably stout. Easily the best flavoured beer I've ever tried.
Mind you, at $105 a slab, I'm not about to start guzzling it.

Re: Your poison of choice?
Please forgive if incorrect.
The website says $115 a slab and they are smaller (330ml) bottles.
