I did tell you that a while back!
Wish I'd done the usual and gone there too.
Queen's head selection is small and they're charging almost $12 for plastic cups of beer.
WTF?
"It's because of the footy" they say.

And yet I can get an Imperial of Guiness in a glass, guess what I'm drinking.
Now if he will just take my advice on how to pour one as he's clueless.

You have to pour 3/4s of it (or up to a specified marker on the pint glass) like normal and let rest.
For the last 1/4 you have to push the tap inwards instead of bringing it outwards for a normal pour.
My clown last night just poured it all by pulling the tap outward into a flat puffed up state.
It was one of the first thing's I was taught to do when working at the Sussex.

I too have been wondering this for some time.Pseudo wrote:Tangentially to the above - I've known certain bar staff to "milk" beer as they pour it, moving the glass up and down under the tap.
Is there some point to this, or are such bar staff as stupid as they look?

Agree on the pour
Interesting that it was the bloke at the Sussex that taught me how to pour the can
They didn't have it on tap when PAOCFC drank there a couple of years ago
Or is that just in the Corner Bar? Do they have it on tap in one of the other bars?

It was in the front bar which is out the back ironically.
I left when it changed hands about 6 years ago so things could be a lot different.
Another aside was when I worked there I read the book on my favourite band of all time The Angels and their first paid gigs were at the Sussex!
They got moved on to the Modbury when too many glasses got broken.
