Back in Tasmania for an all expenses paid work trip and bought along a spare suitcase to load up on the best beer in Australia. Boag’s XXX Ale (Boag’s Red) is the best beer going around bar none in this country. Just a shame it’s exclusively Tasmanian….

A friend came to a BBQ we ran recently and brought with him Heineken zero alcohol beer. He left the spares behind for me to try when he left. It's quite pleasant to my surprise!

(He's a country boy who grew up near Bordertown and still working part time as a GP in a country area nearer Adelaide.)

Every year I go to the Robe Brewery, 27 beers on tap or in stubbies,
there's not one that I would buy,
craft beer is shit.
I'm a dinosaur & proud of it too.

OK I remembered this post when I went to the Robe Brewery this week, tried a few of their beers and only really liked their Howling Owl Mid Ale, the others were only OK, Ive been to many Craft Breweries now and I find the more beers they have = the worse they are.

However I did find Loophole Brewing down there (part of Cape Jaffa Wines) and loved their Cape (Pale) Ale, pleased to see you can get it at Dans.

Went to Beachport Brewing also, so very crisp/clear beers which against were OK but didn't walk away purchasing anything after the testing paddle

Seems Port didn't find it funny.
An email, reportedly from Power CEO Matthew Richardson, told the brewery: “This is not lighthearted fun as you put it. The AFL and AFLPA have been informed.

“You should remove any use of Jason’s image immediately and any reference to him. And no, we are not interested in your offer in any way. Please remove this product ASAP. Legal action is pending.”

In a statement the brewery said: “Unfortunately, Whitelabel Brewing’s planned release of #Icebath Lager has ruffled feathers at Port, with the club threatening legal action against the beer company unless the product was removed.

“The company apologises to Jason Horne-Francis and Port Adelaide if our idea to poke fun at a bizarre situation caused any harm.”

Not even a brewery from what I can see, they just make labels for beer others brew.

At $70 / 16 cans I don't see it walking off the shelf.

Thereby guaranteeing that any extant cans will now be worth well in excess of $70/16. If you managed to snaffle any then stick one on the shelf in your pool room, next to the Duff can.

Not sure any made it out the door. I think they were taking interest before running some labels off and sticking to some cans*.

I know a bloke who sold his six pack for $2000, that was 20 years ago. Not sure their current value.

Maybe, but if it's all getting to JHF then they're just supporting their player.
