Toasted sandwich makers - any recommendations from recent purchases?
Our old no name brand that served us so well for 25+ years gave up the ghost 18 months ago. We bought a Sunbeam deep dish state of the art hirdy girdy soon after and it’s been nothing short of crap. It was still fully functional just not doing its job & ended up in the bin Sunday morning.

We have two, a Sunbeam "Big Fill Toastie for 4" which my wife got as a present for Xmas and my trusty Kmart Flat Toasted Sandwich Press which I've had for almost six years now. Both have been brilliant.

I like them in the humble frypan, bit of butter each side, sensational.

We’ve been using the George Foreman likewise but it doesn’t seal the outsides for leftover bolognaises, casseroles, braised steak & onions etc…

Talk about gourmet toasties... ..

I have a cheapy Sunbeam for toasted sandwhiches and a Russell Hobbs flat press for Port Pirie cheeseburgers and they both work great, you may have got a dud.

I can’t find any where you can adjust the height, I want to toast my sandwich, not flatten the guts out of if have all the cheese piss out. I also want to not have the tomato blister the top of my mouth for a week

We have a flat bed toaster where you can adjust the height.

Have to be able to adjust height when you make a couple of big boys
