Rite Price Heating and Cooling has (and is still) a debacle for the ages.

Was quoted on a one day job to replace a reverse cycle ducted a/c

We are now at day 5 over six weeks during which the new air conditioner is not working (the previous one worked but poorly) and somehow a different air conditioner in the house, which wasn’t supposed to be touched had ceased working.

This is only a small percentage of the absolute shambles it has been dealing with them which as you can appreciate has been exasperated by the heat wave.

At this point the worst violence I could do to someone I don’t like is to treat them to an upgrade courtesy of Rite Price

I could've saved you the trouble, they were simply awful to deal with when i got my aircon, they put the bloody unit on my roof pretty much without asking me and then wanted to charge me to move it. so guess where the unit still is... just couldn't be bothered

iPrimus....Moved to a small country town for work. When looking up internet providers iPrimus had a deal $20 a month cheaper than all other providers. 8 months into a 2 year deal I received notification that the deal no longer was in place and that I would have to pay the normal rates and, the kicker, they were going to back charge me for the 8 months where I was on the deal. The reason - not enough people in the area took up the deal. I changed providers. They sent me a bill of $160 for the 8 prior months + $250 for early termination fee. It took a few hours of phone calls and ombudsman involvement for the issue to be rectified.

Couple at the ale house, but as it had the atmosphere of a morgue so ventured to the Albion, 2-3 hour session then to a tennis club to watch some tennis then back to someone's house where bottles of tequila come out

Gees, there's some serious breaches of law in there.
I use IPrimus and have never had a problem but I would have gone medieval on their ar$e if they had pulled that crap
Hopefully the ombudsman takes further action against them

They actually had some cheapish Origin tickets for sale the other day. I immediately thought Scam.

I've had even more problems since then, more over charging. Approximately a dozen visits to the store and 50 phone calls later assured it wouldn't happen again. Then stupid me got a $5pm fetch tv and got charged $30pm for it! ( and it didnt work at the start so their solution was to send me second one which also didn't work, a week later after several calls one worked) Asked for a refund of $50 for 2 months. Got $15 instead.
Told them just to cancel everything as I'm sick of dealing with their incompetence. 9 months of hell basically. I have never come across another company that would even have 5% of the incompetence and poor service as Optus.
What I've written is but a tiny summary of their invompetence. A full detailed report would be close to 50 pages long.
I wouldn't wish Optus on my worst enemy.
I've learnt a very expensive lesson and I feel for those who work normal hours and dont have days on end to spend on the phone and in shops like I have.
Anyone who is with them in any capacity should try and get out ASAP, its just a matter of time!
