He took his time getting through that taking 10 deliveries to get off the mark and caught up nicely at the end.

Excellent innings by Finch when required.
That’s what Head doesn’t do unfortunately.
Head needs to stand up when the team needs him like last night.

Finch has been on song most the tournament ;)

He’s a great captain and player.

Yeah fair, and agreed.. not sure what influence Dizzy has on the squad, but geez we seem to really muck it up.

We let Spencer Johnson go to the Heat without giving him a shot last season, Wells moved on and we brought in De Grandhomme. Manenti joined the squad and he's a horrible T20 players.

Conway is a net bowler. Gibson is wasted on the list if he isn't going to get a shot.

What happened to Cockbain? About the only consistent English international we have had since Rashid.

Good question, completely forgot about him. Cricinfo last shows he played in The Hundred in August so he hasn't been playing in some other league.

He was only ever a replacement player. Tim Neilson got lucky that he was already in Australia playing in Melbourne.

Did Tim lose his phone number?
Surely he was worth a call.
He showed a bit in the games he played.

Maybe he would of replaced Harry so decided against the phone call

Moving Wells on was an interesting one.
He was so consistent and that’s what we lacked this year.

Head not firing a shot didn’t help either and I’d be inclined to move him on.
Bring in Short for Head.

Sheffield Shield 2nd bottom.

Gillespie still coach.

Side was doing well this BBL season
Didnt help Dizzy when the BBL BIGgest 6 hitter and arguably the BBL greatest spin bowler became unavailable

Imagine this line up v MR last night

SHORT
HEAD
LYNN
GRANDHOMME
CAREY
HOSE
KELLY
KHAN
THORNTON
SIDDLE
AGAR

Losing Khan is irreplaceable
Champion bowler- fantastic low order batsman

Sorry to half disagree with you Booney, hopefully this post wont end our friendship

If you can’t play finals you shouldn’t be contracted.
Yet we have our 2 most important players only available for the start of the season.

Well done Tim and Dizzy……….. you get what you deserve

It won't mate, rest assured.

As Amber says, if they're putting all their eggs in the basket that is Lynn, who they lost to the a league that nobody recognizes ( UAL ) and Khan ( who has international duties always a threat to the Strikers ) then they've got the management wrong and therein lies the problem, the management.

Warner in the runs again tonight lol.

Small observation- McAndrew wears numbers 44 for the Thunder but then wears 0 for SA, I wonder why?

Said it before and will repeat it here...

Zampa is the worst fielder of any player to represent Oz this century. Hit the ball in the air to him and run hard, as you ain't being caught.

4/203 for the Heat tonight with their big guns firing and having a big impact.
94 (55) for Khawaja and Labuschagne 73 (48).
Can Warner do the same for the Thunder?
