A decision will be made on Bode next week

Jericho, if he stays, I would like the club to try him of HB

Perrie, Doughty, Hinge will all be under the pump to stay

The crows went in to the season 1 player down on the list so technically a minimum of 1 delisting has to be made.

I could see them making @ least 3 at this stage.
It is what it is !!!

He was tried off half back with Westies. Failed big time!

playing HB for westies would not be the easiest gig,

with Biglands and Hentchel coming back on the list, the crows would need to delist 5 players to enable them to use picks 10, 27, 30, 38

if the crows want a pre-season pick, well they need to delist 6 players

Roo (retired), Perrie, Jericho, Bode, Hinge, Doughty, maybe McIntyre to go back to the rookie list

the other considerations for the crows, do they promote either McIntyre or Gallman to their senior list for 2008

do they consider drafting Walker their NSW scholarship player

So basically the Crows traded Mattner for Symes, Meesen for Moran and Hudson + 3rd Round for a low 2nd round/higher 3rd round pick.

I think they'll still be disappointed in losing Hudson, but nothing much could be done with that.

I don't mind Symes, but I'm not sure he'd be quite as good as Mattner. Not sure about Moran, but with the Crows picking Meesen above Wood three years ago and now getting pick 37 for him while Brisbane got pick 18 for Wood, it's a bit of a loss.

The Crows will now have picks: 10, 27, 30, 38, 59, 75 and 91.

Outs: Ricciuto, Hudson, Meesen, Mattner, Torney, Perrie, Bode, Hinge, Pfeiffer, McIntyre (rookie), Turner (rookie)
Ins: Moran, Symes, Gallman (upgraded from rookie list), Walker (Scholarship player)

edit: Just seen the news.

How could they delist Torney? The rest I can understand, although I think Pfeiffer could be a good player, maybe they'll rookie list him. And how is Jericho still on the list!!!!!!

It's pretty obvious the Crows have entered into the R-word phase ... I know it will be a shock to many to let Torney go, yet keep the likes of Doughty and Jericho.

Makes me wonder whether the Crows haven't retained the last two as emergency cover, but more importantly to see if they can get their stocks up somehow this year to see if they can't earn some form of trade value for this time next year?

So much for the Crows aggressive trading!

As far as delistings go : Torney and Bode I thought deserved another gig personally.

Will Bode put himself in the PSD you guys think?

& Doughty

I picked the Tourney one a month ago, they simply cannot keep that many 30+ players on the books

Torney was a  at first but I am a fan of his. I thought he had a great year but common sense says I agree with Dutchy in the end.

Keeping Doughty is a surprise. As for Jericho, maybe I'm the only one but I saw some signs when he played this year. Unlucky to be dropped when Roo came back.

Can only assume Hinge and Pfeiffer were shopped around and no takers.

As CP says, the R-word is in at West Lakes

Lets hope we can get some good kids in the draft

The average age of our list must have dropped a bit after the trades & delistings
In between signatures .....

This post is inspired by a post by Rushby Hinds on SL.org but one would hope McIntyre, Hinge and Pfieffer have been offered the opportunity to train with Adelaide with the view to being re-drafted late in the November draft if their are no better options available, a la Rob Shirley a couple of years ago.

As much as I like Rob given the number of de-listing he can consider himself a tad lucky too given his time on the main list and his patchy form over the entire 2007 year (I know his last month was okay but before that.....)
