Not sure what the "selectors" reasoning was, but mine was purely that Jamie Lane cant move great these days, genuine stay at home full forward. Woodcock is a 5x retired old man whose still dynamic but better suited to a deeper role.

Payne I had in a pocket as a resting mid / fwd.

Harris super athletic as a CHF, and put Rigney on one flank to play high, and O'Dea bit more as a quick pressure type.

I also considered Catterall as the key forward with 44 goals from 14 goals, and Weetra 42 goals from 15 games. Rosenthal was super impressive against Ingle Farm but 10th in the D6 goal kicking hard to fit him in.

For defenders I considered Matt Wanganeen as well - thought he was incredibly hard to beat 1v1, but Dempsey was exceptional across CHB. With Rusby being the best CHB I saw all year, meant i had to shuffle Dempsey, he went deepest instead, forcing Wanganeen out.

Brayden Abbott didn't figure anywhere in the Brownlow, but he was dynamite against ingle Farm - was a no brainer for me on the wing. Was pleased to see he won their B&F as well.

Doolan in the ruck - I couldn't really think of a genuine dominant ruck off the top of my head, and this kid could play anywhere - and against Ingle Farm did - wing, mid, ruck, forward.. he's as good a kid as i've seen in a long time. Fair to say his phone will be ringing soon form me.

Another prime example of showing his professional acumen taking cheap pot shots at key stakeholders.

Next year, i'll do the TOTY for all divs including ressies and C grade and JK can send them out on his Update - and i'll do it before anyone else has a chance to release theirs.

I'm half expecting a FB announcement that says something along the lines of "our work is all authentic and our own, and we don't waste our time looking at shit sites like safooty.net also any accusations of plagiarism are false and generated from jealousy."

I’d love to know who the 3 coaches from each division that do these teams,, because some of them are absolutely shocking each year and I’ve never heard of any of the coaches I know having an input.. Would actually be good to have them done properly and tbh you obviously pay close enough attention (especially in your own division) to put together a pretty credible team lol

Only compliment I’ll ever give you, but you definitely know your football throughout these divisions

Feel free to post your own, I hope mine is way off, I like Fitzroy.

Mine is just an uneducated guess about something I don't know a lot about based on the following:

Salisbury will be stronger than 2022 and dropping a division.
Marion were already around the mark.
St. Pauls were more than competitive in div 5.
Greenacres have a great list and I expect a couple more additions before round 1.
Greenwood is as hard as nails and I expect the Rosewater players to not leave anything on the field, he'll probably bring a couple along too.
Units are anyone's guess, I think they may gain a couple from Dwight Reserve.
Lutheran weren't too far off of Greenies.
Lodge have lost their top two players of 2022, they've had a change of coach and chairman too, they are into the unknown atm.
I have no idea of the ins and outs @ Mount Fitzroy, I can only base on where they finished in 2022, their good was very good, their poor was very poor.

FWIW, Div 6 is going to be an exceptional standard in 2023 I think.
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.

Fitzroy should make the 5 next season. They had a relatively young list this season.

Strong key forward, exceptional key back, plenty of leg speed on the outside.

Brahma are an unknown - Chaffey to Salisbury, Hrynkiw to BSR, talk of Bellman to Para Hills - I think Matty Leigh as coach will stop large numbers from leaving, but who knows what they pick up as well.

Adel Lutheran were really 3rd best side in D7 who had a great run of through finals, it’s a fair jump from D7 to D6 still - have their work cut out.

Salisbury still need depth to impact.

Who ever does these sides, perhaps you could put your own time and effort into working out who was good instead of just taking my shit.

I’m finding most of them amusing. The Div 3 one, Golden Grove were undefeated and only got 3 in and Edwardstown got 5, and Div 4, well that looks like it was picked with a dart board.
