Why is it when you're entering data into an excel spreadsheet and you accidentally press the PgDn button it takes you to row 4453K or something alike?

Anyone here travel much for work?
If so what sort of meal allowance do you get.

I’ve changed jobs/companies recently and my new company pay a lot less in allowances.
My previous company was very generous so not sure what the norm is here.

I reckon Corona Man gets a punting allowance when he travels.

I don't have an allowance as such, but up to $100-120 a day isn't really questioned.

The lad is a chippie and when they go away for work they get $100 per day living away from home allowance plus accommodation paid for. As it usually consists of a gang between 6 and 10 all 19-30yo’s staying at a Pub you can guess the rest :)

Yeah I use to be similar between $100-$150 at old company before any questions.

New company is $75 with full receipts.

Bit light on but from a couple of people I know it's around the mark, anything around $100 would be generous.

We just get told to not go stupid, try and stick to what you would if you were paying it yourself.

I usually would skip the breakfast unless it's included with the room, grab a coffee on my way to where I'm going for the day, grab subway and a drink for lunch then around a $30 meal for dinner then 6-8 pints while I'm having a punt trying to pass some time.

Last time I was in Queensland there was no TAB where I was staying so I had to play keno instead, ended up winning near $2K, there was a spot 6 in there somewhere too, that paid heaps more over there.

I shop day 1 for breakfast stuff as I usually stay in one spot for a few days I just get my normal cereal or stuff to make toast so $25 usually covers 3-4 days of breakfast. Subway for lunch. Couple of waters during the day. At night I'll go entree, mains and order 3 beers with my meal so it's all on one receipt.

That's the key for not getting in the shit for the beer intake.

I'm generally helping someone when I travel so they usually get dinner and drinks on their account, I've got a 3 dayer to the Riverland coming up soon but that's just to meet some customers and have site visits so I'll probably have a couple of nights on my Pat Malone.

That's the big problem with the Equestrian Club - It uses its actual name on the receipt and statement

travel interstate regularly, accommodation is left up to me and always pick the best i can get regardless of price.

All meals paid for not that the meal bills are too expensive as such, (and i dont worry about claiming for the odd pie and donut i may grab) with petrol etc paid for is usually around 2k all up for 5 days and never questioned
