Did he take his clarets shirt off at any time during the trip?

Definately mate, check out the Grand Final pics and you'll see him and Rita in their North guernseys.

JTC has gone home with this years Player's Sponser Photo of Toby Stribling (sponsered by The Roost), I'm sure there wouldn't be too many SANFL sponsers photo's hanging up on walls in the UK.

Ian - he's gonna be wandering all over England with his Roosters gear and people are gonna be wondering WTF???? Maybe he could be North's talent scout over there!

I miss him and his lovely wife already. :(

Would only be an hour out of Hong Kong at the moment.

It was a privilege to spend time with this couple, the stories they had to tell and share were priceless to me.

I never planned to go overseas but after his description of his house and surrounding areas at Christmas I feel its something I want to see.

Must admit I'm not taking the GF loss hard at all compared to most North supporters as I've been on cloud 9 from first having my Cats win the flag and then getting to spend time with JTC and Rita.

Howdy all from sunny (not) UK. 35 hours, 4 planes and 5 airports later we made it home.

Saddest thing for me about the trip is, it just wasn't long enough. Had a great day on Sunday, at the game, at the BBQ and at the party back Prospect.

It was a real joy to me so many of the people I have been posting with and a few of the non North variety.

Wedgie, thanks for looking after us, and coming to say cheerio with Ian and Zac (cheers guys), thanks to 70 1 2, Wessie, RTG and all of those who gave us momento's of the day, thanks to Emu and Jimmy for the ties (this is begginning to sound like an oscar acceptance speech), and to the great BR for the tickets and lift to the ground.

Congratulations to Centrals and all the dogs fans, CDFC really was just to good for us.

smac, DW, C_P and all those who I didn't get to meet this time, we will be back next year so lets take a rain check.

smac, I thought about you on Tuesday, I hired a car and went to Salisbury North and Paralowie to take a look at where I used to live and went to school. Some changes, some looked the same. Ah! sweet memories.

Finally (at last), Adelaide is a fantastic place, I love it so much, so don't let anyone tell you any different.

Glad you got home safely John and I too am disappointed we didn't catch up. But as you say, there is next year on the cards - something to look forward to.

Well done to the Rooster faithful that made your trip a good one, they are first class hosts by the sounds of it.

Pleased you got out to the old territory too, that would have been interesting, no doubt!

Welcome home Clarets :D

Glad you managed to have a great time despite the GF results. Can I get first dibs on bag carrying next year haha? Been looking at which airlines cover UK to Aus...you'd think someone could have moved to two a bit closer by now  4 seperate flights and 2 to 3 days to get there

Regards

Well done on the trip, JTC. Sorry that I did not catch up. I should have stayed in Adelaide as it was - been laid very low by the flu here in Mildura and although I made it to school three and a half days of the five, I have really struggled. I don't think the students would have missed much had I gone to the GF and then stayed in Adelaide! Still not over it - slept in bed all day today.
Cheers

Sure was. Our old house is not there anymore, a new one has sprung up in it's place, but next doors are the same.

Popped into Salisbury North Hawks, was going to have a bite to eat. Geez that place is busy. Queue was aboout 40 strong for the bistro, so we decided to give it 10 mins and had a drink. Thing is 10 mins later it was still 20 strong. they just hkept coming in.
